i410...more like perfect 10
If you're working at a manufacturer specific car dealership, chances are they already have an amp clamp laying somewhere around the shop for everyone to use. What about those of us that have our own independent service businesses, or those who work at an independent garage, or do some side-work when we get home? Combine the Fluke i410-kit with the Fluke 88-V kit and you have the perfect set-up for troubleshooting electrical issues. This clamp works, it's accurate, and it's compatible with the Fluke 88-V automotive multimeter I already had. Fluke makes the best stuff. If you're using it every day, don't you want to be using the best stuff? Of course you do. But what about the price, you say? Well, we can't all buy a Cadillac at a Cavalier price. One last question...do you want something that will just get you by from job to job or do you want the most accurate, best product for the money that will work consistently for many years to come? I'll give you a hint, the product you're going to buy is on this page, but it's not in the "Related Products" section. That is, of course, unless the Fluke i410 shows up in the "Related Products" section. I'm done typing...buy with confidence.

Worked great, just as you'd expect from Fluke
You can't really expound too much on the performance of a Fluke meter. There are extremely in depth reviews all over the internet regarding the performance of these. If you are looking for an AC/DC current clamp kit in this rating to mate with a fluke that you have, this is what you are looking for. The product arrives exactly as you can expect from fluke, on time, with a great price from amazon.

Where is the strap?
I am sure this is a great Current Clamp, however, I am wondering where the strap for the carry case is. I bought two of these for a project my company is working on and while the photos clearly show a strap for the case, the box shows a strap for the case, no strap was included in either box. WUWT?

The case is nice, I thew all my dc volt meter and AC/DC current meter in there so I have the kit when ever I am doing DC.The biasing for the DC amps is a little touchy and if you get it +/-.1, call it good. The meter runs on a 9v and has a power button that is very hard to push in the case. It also appears to be designed so you have to push it deep to get it to latch on, preventing accidental turn ons while in case. Wish my scope came with that style. The meter will not time out if you leave it on so it will kill your battery if you are forgetful.Little sad the cord is not changeable. One thing I have seen is you will always wear a cord out before the device wears out.The unit is real light, the clamp is ridged, so you need the room to get it onto your target.

Never been a fan of clamps but when the time comes to use one this one does the job for me. Works as advertised and with a little math you can confidently confirm the current being drawn.

Doesn't work well with all fluke meters
The claim this amp clamp works with most fluke meters are not true, like models 89 VI and 78 I know they are old models, but on the 89 VI the readings are erratic.

Great tool
This, coupled with a Fluke 289 has helped me solve many, many parasitic draw problems.

Poor DC zero adjustment design
Finicky and time consuming to set zero. Very easy to knock out of adjustment giving incorrect readings with no way of knowing. Decent accuracy. Its a poor design that can be easily fixed by replacing the pot with a multiturn and recessing the knob. Whats up with that Fluke?
