If you can get past the fact that there are no installation instructions, it works fairly well. You have to actually remove the speedo/tach by using the included torx head tool and unscrewing the fasteners attaching it to top of the steering column. After the screws have been removed, pull the Speedo/Tach towards you to access the wire harness. Then detach the wire harness and remove the Phillips head screws behind the speedometer. Insert the rubber bushings into the screw wells and then attach the phone holder arm using the included screws. Once you reassemble the speedometer/tachometer, you may have to bend the arm slightly to clear the dashboard. It does the job although I do wish the phone holder was more of a “cradle” than a “grip”.

I love this phone holder in my 2008 Mini R52 convertible. The only problem was the screws supplied are to short, I had to find longer screws to mount onto the back of the tachometer.

While the unit is pretty easy to install. The ball needs constant readjusting and it droops all the time. But it keeps the phone tightly in place and allows it to be visible for navigation.

Easy instal , love how it sits , easy to access but out of vision while driving. My only issue is that it doesn't hold the phone very well (Samsung a53) hit a bump and it will fall out of clamp

Looks like it is of good construction, but the advertised "3.5 to 5.5 inch phones" isn't accurate. My phone is 3.5 inches wide, and barely fits. As in you have to shove it into the holder like at the mcdonalds trash can.
