Bugs A to Z

The colorful photos of the various bugs brought an engaging introduction to world of insects. This can be used as a reference book of insects as well as a reinforcement of the alphabet.

My two grandsons love this book. We wld find a bug and look it up. We spent hours looking. They r 3 at that.

Fantastic book for a 5 year old! My son can’t get enough of it. He’s able to read the bug descriptions and identify sight words. He’s also learning key science vocabulary words. Great buy!

Cute book with great photos of actual bugs. This was perfect for my four year old son.

Cute book! It's a good size for younger kids and is fairly sturdy for being a paperback. The pages are bright and colorful and feature fun insects with lots of variety and fascinating things to keep kids interested for a long time. Bought this for my two year old for a long car trip (along with Fun Express Insect Finger Puppets 12ct Toy and Darice 1029-03 16-Piece Plastic Insects, 2-Inch and he had so much fun matching up the insects in the sets with the insects in the book ("Look, mommy - they're the SAME!")The only thing that puzzles me is why there is what appears to be a lizard or chameleon tail coming out of the "Z" on the cover... but I'm willing to look past that because nobody's really that nitpicky and it's a good book.

Bought this for my son who is obsessed with bugs and he LOVES it! We read at least a few pages everyday and my son's bug knowledge is growing. He remembers the "fun facts" on each page for the different bugs and it's also helping him learn the alphabet in a fun way. He shares his bug facts with anyone who will listen and when they question him, he pulls out this book and shows them!

This was a great book for me to include in my insect unit at school. It has lots of clear pictures to help my kids visualize a lot better and great information about bugs! I highly recommend it to any early childhood or preschool teacher around!

This was a gift for my 7 year old great nephew. He loved the study of bugs and crabs.

La calidad de imágenes es buena, aunque las hojas son bastante delgadas. El contenido visual es excelente para los niñ@s (adultos también). Para niños que les guste los animales es un excelente regalo. El texto es en inglés, aunque es un inglés básico requiere ayuda de un adulto para niñ@s pequeños.

I love the design of this book. I bought it to read to my 2yr old who shows an interest in bugs. & My 6yr old found the facts very interesting.

I bought this for my granddaughter’s Christmas stocking and couldn’t wait! She loves it!

I completely understand that it’s quite hard to find butterflies that covers every single letter, but it became hard to read and explain to a child why there were so many variations of the same thing. There were at least EIGHT types of butterflies covered. I wouldn’t recommend this book to any child less than six who may not understand the concept, or even an older child who may find the explanations too bare (and hardly enough info to identify these outside)I gave two stars as I see an effort to make the facts interesting, but I guess it just wasn’t what I was expecting!
