3S 4S 5A Active Equalizer Whole Group Balancer Lifepo4 Lipo Lto Lithium Active Battery Energy Transfer Equalization Capacitor + Protective Case

Bought some 200AH LIFEPO4 drop in batteries (non-smart) and had issues reaching above 13.8v during charge, with more than half of them... I had some suspicions one cell or more were reaching 3.65v before the rest. They still pulled capacity so support wasn't much help. After cracking one open, I confirmed the imbalance. This balancer worked perfectly, and was able to sort out the imbalance in a few hours of on/off tinkering. Just make sure you wire it up right. I'm cautious so I monitor that no cell goes over 3.65v (LIFEPO4) and let it get to work. Now I can charge to the proper 14.2-14.6v on these batteries. Many cheap drop in batteries have a BMS that either doesn't balance, or if it does, it's at a pathetic rate of 30ma or so. This seems to be good quality including the case and 18awg balance leads. Highly recommend this active balancer with case! Only wished they also included a small wiring diagram in box. Saved screenshot from Amazon, so wasn't an issue, but it's my only complaint.

Second time purchasing. For some reason if my lifelong 12v pack discharged below 11v they get every hot and blow some capacitors. Not sure if is related to a damage Batery. The ideal is to disconnect the module if below some voltage.

I thought I had a bad cell. Would not balance. It was messing up my entire system. I spent many hours trying to resolve the problem. Many nights I ran out of power (or, more to the point, could not access the power due to the "bad" cell). I installed this active equalizer and the cells have been in perfect balance ever since. Magic!

These cell balancers do work very well when carefully installed.

Never ever balanced @ 5A. Balancer takes at least 12+ hours to do it’s job, without active charging. After 3 months the balancer stopped working. I replaced it and the replacement balancer only lasted 2 months. Definitely not worth it. If this thing did balance at 5A and lasted longer, I would be happy. But it doesn’t! I had LIfe4 cell banks @3.99v when others were at 3.5v

It definitely helps balance your self built LiFePo4 batteries. It would be nice if you could turn off the balance function when not needed.

The first one I received would get a yellow "run" light for a half minute then fade slowly away. I realized it was not working properly. Filed an Amazon return and got a replacement. The second one works as expected and the "run" light stays always on. I was able to get 40% more capacity out of my used-cells homebrew battery build by using this device. One parallel group of cells is weaker than the other 3 groups, and would limit the overall pack, but with this I am able to get the rated capacity. It's brilliant!
