Very nice casting net - I need practice.
Years ago when I lived in Florida I had a casting net to catch bait fish. I was pretty good at throwing it, but not a pro. I eventually moved to Georgia far from an ocean and the need for a net. Decades later I got this net to try to catch a snapping turtle in my pond. This is a high quality net that is as good or better than the ones I remember from Florida. My only issue is that I am out of practice. There is a skill with throwing these, and it is a skill I need to brush up on.Overall, I like this net, and as soon as I get good at it again, that snapping turtle will be getting a new home in a nearby swamp.

Arrived damaged
Even haven't used it yet. Just opened the bag. The brail line was broken already. Jut imagine if there was 20LB of fish in it ;-(ad to send for replacement. The new one looks good.

GREAT BEGINNER’S / TRAVEL CAST NET !!!
This is a Great Beginners 6 Foot Wide Cast Net. I use it for Getting Live Bait when Traveling. I have others up to 18 feet wide I use for Offshore and Inshore… It’s Light and Travels well. Picked up 100 Sardines First Toss walking off a Beach near Cabo San Lucas. My other Nets weight up to 28 Pounds. But, that’s for Hardcore Stuff. If you have a Kid learning how it works… (And, there are many different ways to do it !) I Highly recommend it.

Decent net for the price
Mesh is a lot tougher than the mono nets, but like other cheap nets, it is not tied together very well. Most knots are loose and some will come untied. The weights are held in place by flimsy string that will need to be repaired regularly. The brail line is loosely tied and the knots catch on the net easily. I had to re tie each line with a betting knot that won’t come untied and will not snag on the net everywhere. I also a second line tied around the bottom to secure the weights in place. (This net is actually advertised with this second line securing the weights, but does not come with it). The steel weights only have a thin zinc coating and start to rust quickly even if you rinse with fresh water after every use. With some small improvements, and a little care and maintenance, it’s a good reliable net.

Don’t let the reviews fool you
The worst cast net I’ve ever thrown. The monofilament is extremely stiff, so the net doesn’t open well. It also has a lot of tag ends in the weave, adding too much air resistance, so the bait swims away before it even hits the water. They used clear blue fluorescent line to weave the net, not indicated in the product description/photos. The hand line is too thin and tangles up almost every cast.

Buen producto.
Muy buena, aunque deberian de dar sugerencias para principiantes ya que en la playa nos comentaron que era una red camaronera. Aun así pescamos algunos cangrejos. 🙂

This is a poor quality net
Have used this net a few times maybe 5... I have always washed it thoroughly to get salt water off it before storage..Despite that the plating on half of the edge weights has dissolved and what's left is rusting..I am going to return this item

Works great.
Works great for caplin, very good quality . I ordered a 4 foot but it's at least 6 feet in diameter making it a bit difficult to throw.
