Joshua's Family: The Long-Awaited Prequel to the Bestselling Joshua

This book is written in very simple language, so it could probably be read by an older middle school student. It gives insight into what Jesus might have been like as a human child as he gradually learned he had a special relationship with his Father in heaven.

Very interesting way to start the Joshua series off. Gives you a different perspective of view. Wish more people could act this way, Watching out for each other instead of just for themselves.

I hardly expected the prequel to so vast a number of (unnumbered) Joshua novels to be, in essence, the Creme d'la Creme (sp?). But the simplicity of Jesus' message and the pure innocence of the young teenager, Joshua, brought tears to my eyes. This is a book that I will purchase for some of my grandchildren and others. But don't let that promise fool you! It's in every way a book that has been and will continue to be read by adults (I'm 75) and children alike.Yes, Girzone is, as he is in all of his books, both repetitive and predictable ... but there is no limit to how often the message of Jesus should be repeated to persons of ALL faiths. As Joshua reminds us so very often, "we are all Children of Our Father." He created every human child on this, his earth!

Having read Joshua a Modern Parable, it was a delight to read this latest book which is the prequel. Joseph Girzone has a gentle style but his descriptions are vivid and as with all the Joshua series thought provoking.However, be aware that purchasing this series may cost you more than the cost of the books in custom fees. This was unexpected and rather disconerting! Find out before hand whether there are any hidden costs in addition to the postage etc. Also check if what you are buying is the DVD and not the book as it will not be compatible with most British DVD players!

Such a sweet book about a young boy as he learns how special he truly is to His Father and to the rest of the world. It is written in a simple way to make it a book that can be read by the young as well as the adult. If you have read any of the author's Joshua series you will appreciate this story and how sweet Joshua learns of his gifts.

Really wished I'd found the author Girzone long ago. Didn't know he had several books and I've found each n' everyone totally captivating. Wish they were more and more series.

I feel that it really would help young people understand that it is not important what you have but how you act to others that is important.

I didn't need this prequel to value the rest but I am sure it added much to other readers understanding...
