We are owned by a scottie. He weighs amost 21 pounds. I'm thinking a medium. am I correct?

My dog weighed 9lbs and I got him the xs and it fit pretty well, I would think that a medium would be correct for 21 lbs, I would be worried about the legs if he has short legs and the costume fit except for the legs

My dog is about 12 pounds...would that be a small?

If you look at the picture on Amazon and then swipe it to look at the 2nd picture, it gives you a detailed size chart. Dimensions are more important than weight.

My pup is 15 inches long, 8 inches around the neck and 14 inches around the chest. What size should I get?

The UPS costume was purchased for our Dalmation. His measurements are slightly more then your dogs. He is 64 lbs, I got the large, It gapes slightly in the back, but the legs and neck are workable. We purchased several different costumes for both of our dogs, and sizing differs, between costumes. If your dog is about the same height and weight as a dalmation I think you'll be good with a large. This costume is too cute.
