Perfect for. Party food best kept chilled

Bought this for hosting holidays and parties. Wasn't sure how well it actually work. Some other products actually have a tray or compartment to put either ice or ice packs in. This unit is completely sealed so I'm not 100% sure what is in the unit. It definitely keeps anything that's touching the surface cool for quite a long time. We tested it out at Christmas just to see if ice cream would work on it but as expected the higher up surface sides would start melting but the area still touching the cooling tray still felt very frozen. We ended up keeping a salad on it and it worked really nice as long as you kept turning the salad periodically.

I was skeptical about this cooling plate thinking it would only cool for a couple of hours at most. I set it out at 12:30 p.m. and it was STILL cool the next morning. I didn't leave the food out that long but the plate itself takes a long time to return to room temperature. The second best part is there are no ice cubes or drippy packs. I definitely recommend this, especially for anyone who entertains frequently & wants to keep cool items cool.
