Love it both function and improved taste
I love how this guides the flow preventing channeling and it seemed to increase pressure a wee bit but the thing that surprised me from the first espresso is it improved the taste too

The little things
I have to say this by far was an amazing investment to a machine that always was so good. I didn’t expect that this device could make the coffee/espressos better but it did. The water flow plays a key part in the brewing of the coffee and this by far did just that. The grounds brewed more evenly and more consistent than worth the original. There was minor tweaking to do but one set it was a game changer.

Worthless
This is the most terrible screen replacement in existence, probably. The stock screen is sturdy and when I screw it into my Breville machine it stays the same shape. Not so with this flimsy IMS screen. When I screwed it into my machine (not tightly, just normally) it bent a little bit around the screw because the metal is too thin. That means water doesn’t flow easily out of the holes near the middle of the screen, but it flows too much around the perimeter. Maybe the holes look nicer than the stock Breville shower screen, but it doesn’t matter when it becomes misshapen upon installation. It’s flimsy in comparison to the original part, and not worth the money.

Was not nessasary
I think alot of things they sell to upgrade the coffee experience isn't nessasary. After getting my Express express espresso machine I have tried many things to make it better but I have found that the stock machine is good enough if you put the grind size to 15 or 16, reset the grind number to #4 in the hopper, make the brew time to be coming out at 30 seconds for the large filter size and finally get freash beans to have a roast date less than 3 weeks ( not best if sold buy date) . The Only thing that really helped me brew better is the Normcore 53.3mm Puck Screen - Lower Shower Screen. It keeps the pressure up and keeps the group head clean.

Improves my coffee shots
Improves my coffee shot. I can taste the subtle change in my coffee flavor. Puck prep is 95% of the work, this screen add that 5% touches.Side note, when installing the screen on your machine due make sure to test the screen. You might have water stream that shoots to the side. If this happen, take it out and reposition then run the water again.

Works on my Breville Barista Touch
I bought this with the plan to drill out the center hole to use on my Barista Touch - to my happy surprise it was compatible with my Touch without any modification at all. Also, the first couple of shots I pulled with this screen did seem better with less channeling but that could be placebo effect after spending 35 dollars on something like this.
