Q: the buckle is unusual how do you fasten it

Adjust the buckle on strap to required length, then slide strap under clasp on shoe shoe buckle locks into position. These buckles are always a problem when at dancing so normally see hubbies on the knees positioning clasp in place !

Q: Are these suitable for wide foot? I am generally a uk 5.5, have wide feet, but exasperated by a large bunion

I would order a 6. I don't have wide feet but these feel moderately roomy. Been dancing in them all evening and they are very comfy - would think they are wider than many dance shoes. They are very good value so would take a punt!

Q: Are these shoes made of leather? There is conflicting information

Well it says PU leather, which means it is imitation. Be careful of sizing also; I had to return a pair as they were far too small, even though I used the foot measures

Yes the size was correct however not good if you have a broad feet
