Having only a limited amount of knowledge about Lake Mead, I found this book informative and interesting. The pictures and descriptions tell a comprehensive story in an easy to understand format. The impact that the building of Hoover Dam had before construction and the effect that it has on the area, present day are well illustrated. This book is for anyone interested in learning more about Lake Mead and surrounding areas. Also for those who want a glimpse of how part of the Western United States was formed.
