The Little Black Book of Stock Market Secrets

Take the time to understand the message of this book.
This is a remarkable book, on several levels. First, Dr. Kratter lays out basic principles for trading in markets that are either trending ortrading sideways. His principles are actionable, but may require several readings to be understood (they did for me). It’s not that the book isn’tclear, but rather the markets are complex. The factors that must be balanced and understood in terms of the whole are the trend of the priceaction in terms of individual technical indicators, movement of the market as a whole (bull or bear markets), volume of shares traded, float, etc.Dr. Kratter’s teaching method is grounded in showing you the simplest way to begin to approach a trading scenario but, without being pedantic or heavy-handed, he also inserts comments showing a deep understanding of finance and economics, but in a practical way. Beyond this, he also includes content on the psychology, even spirituality, of trading: teaching that the right kind of detachment and willingness to engage inhonest self-inquiry are essential to good trading. This might explain, to some extent, why 90% of traders are unsuccessful. How many people, traders or non-traders, are willing to do this? (Look at the one-star reviews of this book, for example: for the most part, these reviewers complain that the book didn't give them a special secret which they could apply like a magic pill or incantation. People who are looking for something like this can never be satisfied.) If you first understand the rules, and then have the self-discipline to stick to them, you can harness the power of the markets, and not go into them like a greedy, grasping gambler who eventually will and must lose as a matter of mathematical certainty. The simplest possible approach to the fundamentals along with self-mastery are the secrets that the book imparts. To those people who claim that these truths aren't secret but are commonly-known, one could pose the question: how come 90% of traders fail to make money? Dr. Kratter suggests that a trader should begin her trading day with prayer and meditation, that “everyone lies to you” but that the markets will hold up a mirror reflecting your character back to you that cannot lie. The markets are neither your friend nor your enemy, Dr. Kratter explains. They’re like nature itself, which responds negatively or favorably to you in direct correlation to your preparation and skill. Mastery comes from developing expertise in the fundamentals, not from going on a treasure hunt for "secrets." I believe Dr. Kratter’s books on trading are the best available.

Very Good Practical Advice
This book might not be for an experienced, successful investor/trader, but it can be very useful for someone either new to investing or only making mediocre returns. It provides practical and specific advice regarding finding good stocks and setting entry and exit points. Also, the psychological and emotional aspects of successful (and unsuccessful) trading are discussed. Those that overlook that part of trading are going to have a hard time being successful over the long term. The book is short, which is a plus. It's not filled with a lot of theory or technical jargon. All of the ideas are easy to understand and execute and each chapter gets right to the point. I found myself highlighting sections on almost every page. Whether you consider it a book or a pamphlet, it is well worth the small price.

Rules, knowledge and Practice to success trading skill.
Trading the stock or running a business, they are no different. If you’re buying the product to resell, you already know the price that you’re going to sell before you purchased, as well as in trading the stock. When you purchase the stock, you should have those exit strategy, selling price and set the stop lost. This book and some other books from Matt are teaching us how to trade successfully in the trading business like his does. I have read most of his books, and still learning how to identify the trend trading stock by myself. I’m watching his trend trading stocks list, some of the stocks almost double in 6 months. I only trade when I see the opportunity.Trading business is not for everyone, it requires you do lot homework, follow-up, document for every trading as a record, analyzing why and how to improve the trading for the next round and mindset…discipline. It also requires a lot practices. Eventually you will success. If you don’t have those skills, definitely you’re in the wrong business.I believe everyone know how to drive a car. First we take a lot lectures, traffic rules etc. Next we need to know most of the equipment’s on/off switches on the driver seat area, steering wheel, brake, etc.Now is the time someone teaching how to drive, and you need a lot practice. One day you become an expert driving skill. It’s the same way that you learn how to trade in trading business!

Just the basics
All the obvious stuff. For beginners only. Nothing to help you make money. Do more education than just this book. Everything you need is free. I finally started making consistent and steady money only doing things i learned for free. I make a kit of money now and am not selling my system. People only sell systems because theirs didn't make them enough money.

short read but tons of great information especially for newcomers
A very short read but tons of great information especially for newcomers. Definitely not another strategy or analysis book but rather one that’s filled with interesting ideas and insights from an experienced trader on certain nuances of the market.

Simple, but a great value for the price.
Overall i enjoyed this book. It is very short, but that means that I can re-read it periodically whenever I am feeling discouraged about a bad streak. For experienced traders there will now be a ton of new information, but for the rookie trader willing to learn, it has some pearls of wisdom. The only real critique I would have is that some of the information is a bit simplistic, such as the advice to trade to become a better person. I agree that money should not be your only motivation to trade, but I would argue that character development is only one side of the equation. Overall, a great read and a great value!

In "The Little Black Book of Stock Market Secrets" schreibt der Aktienmarkt-Veteran Matthew R. Kratter, der u.a. An "The Little Black Book of Stock Market Secrets" las ich über eine Stunde lang. Mit gutem Gewissen kann ich hier eine Kaufempfehlung abgeben. Kratter hat auch einen youtube-Channel, in dem er einige seiner Methoden beschreibt.
