Excitement and lots of action💖
Sarah Noffke can always be counted on for a great read. When she joins with Michael Anderle, plan to lose some sleep as these page turner will keep you from putting it down until the end. While I'll admit there were a few places that showed down as updates of the ongoing activities of these well defined characters took place but could count on more laughs and actions quickly returned. While these places did slow down the action of the book they also provided plenty of laughs and character development need for the climatic ending. Some of my favorite characters included mother nature and the maid of the castle along with the castle itself👏. For those who have read previous novels from the KGU, you'll love the Easter eggs 👀 scattered in places that startled laughs from me. Think my favorite was a comment about Pepsi that I really hasn't been expecting! Looking forward to reading the next in the series which should be out in March. Since it will be released the day before my birthday, on March 13, I already know how I'll be celebrating that day. And the ending was absolutely perfect!!💓

What a horrible way to use bad plot to avoid the cry of "Mary Sue"
Its funny, Sophia Beaumont should be an extremely good character. But thanks to what I feel is an obviously attempt to avoid people calling her a "Mary Sue" she ends up being a passenger in this book. There are two parts to this, and both really showed a huge weakness in the plot and writing.First, no character interacting with her will ever be straightforward and honest. Not one. When they do have information for her, its almost always handled in a transaction that gives Sophia more and more tasks while often NOT allowing her to complete her current task. There is a point in the book where by my count she has at least 5 open "quests" to complete, and insufficient information to complete any of them.Second, As part of no character being straightforward, we've ended up with more Deus ex Machina characters than I've seen in a single book before. At one point Sophia is trying to do a mission for The Castle, and gets information for a new quest, but then Plato tells her that she much see X person and also let Y know that Z needs him. From that she does end up meeting X who tells her that to finish the quest for the Castle she's going to do another quest, but X won't tell her where to start so she has to visit her fairy godmother who tells her "I don't know" and then sends her off on a new quest. It all ends up feeling like its being used to hide how over powered Sophia is. Take away her abilities and her dragon (who she seems to never actually be working with.) and she is a bumbling wreck of a detective flailing around blindly until the next time some nice bystander stops and tells her, "Oh, but if you go this way, you'll fix the problem."Its just poor plotting and after a while I didn't like the characters. They don't seem dynamic or interesting. They exist to allow the author to push the plot when she feels its time to.I don't expect to continue this series. It's just too lacking in pieces I want, and hides the weak plotting behind so many side-plots as to prevent the story from moving forward.

I know this is book three...
But I’ll have to go back and do reviews of the first two in the series. I really like S.Beaufont and have been really enjoying her stories. I honestly am not a huge fan of Liv, she is too much like the promoter Fae King (though I love making them stupid rather than suer genius). Liv and he are exhausting but Sophia is like balm to the soul. I was going to say I couldn’t believe the same person wrote both series but I can actually believe it because even though I didn’t care for Liv, the writing and story was excellent and kept me getting books until the end. Well it’s not the end yet but...

The mistress of mischief
How do I feel about this novel? Well to be honest with myself. I am of mixed emotions. Sarah has written a very well conceived story plot and while I've enjoyed many, many references in this story. It is the plot twist from within the story I've found to be most entertaining. Finding a connection to the character of Hiker was a surprise. I am not sure if the blasphemy toward a key moments in the story has earn Sarah an Emmy or condemnation to be raked over a bed of hot coals This said, you will either fall in love with her story or curse her for this reason but it is a story, you must read. Entertaining and thrilling, you will love this series.

An ending and a beginning
This book ends the story arch of the dragonless menace. As Sophia and the other dragon riders race to the final showdown, what will happen? And how does Sophia fit into it all? This was an excellent addition to this story world with many surprises along the way. Nothing is ever easy! All the pieces fall into place and I'm looking forward to the next book.

Long book in the series but it was well worth it, completed the ark of the storyline.
If you’ve enjoyed the previous books in the series you will enjoy this one, you get a lot more bang for your buck or your Kindle unlimited. The book is longer than most but chock-full of action character development and Snark. There is additional character development concerning Sophia and her dragon riding compatriots. Even though some threads were finished and closed off others still remain The inclusion of live and additional people from the previous series are welcome. This inclusion flushes the world out even more. I highly recommend this book in the series, and I am am eagerly awaiting the next book to see how the story progresses. Read it, you’ll enjoy it.

Amazing series with so much action, intrigue and suspense!
This Exceptional S. Beaumont series is my favorite of all series books!! Sophia is a heroine we should all strive to be like. She is creative, cunning, funny, joyful, and so loyal to her family and growing list of friends. Sophie’s approach to solve a problem is as beautiful and unique as she is. She is alive in these pages — too real to be a fictional character. She and Linus, her dragon, must pass their final trials to become a full fledged dragon rider pair in order to face the most deadly adversary than can potentially end all dragons and their riders. An inspiring read you will find impossible to put down!!!

Great Read!
Another Great book from these Authors in the S Beaufont series. This book had it all, lots of action, comraderie, emotions and the bond between Sophia and Lunis. I loved this book, it was good to see a different side of Hiker and understand why he is the way he is, this book definitely helped a lot of things click into place. I'm really intrigued about the link between the castle and the house of 14 and I can't wait to see where this series goes next!

Very poor
I liked the previous series and the first two books of this series, but this third book is very poor. I had difficulty getting into from the start - it almost felt like it had been written by different writers. The characters constant capitulation when being asked to do unreasonable things or being treated unreasonably just got annoying and I had to give up half way through.

This Series Just Get Better
Absolutely brilliant. Sophie & Lunis get to go on a week bonding trip - with zombie dingoes !! We discover what Quiet is up to and learn a bit more about Ains. Sophie yawned, Lunis yawned, I yawned (well it was late/early) It really is a page turning-read-in-one-sitting book. I have pre-ordered the next book. Roll on March 2020.

Attention keeping
As per usual I have spent successive days and nights enthralled by every character and as I've said before a sigh of relief left me when I knew I could go straight on to the next adventures of the dragon riders
