In the Amazon product description, it said, "10-oz. 90% cotton/10% polyester fleece. Crafted from a cotton-rich 9.7-oz. fl. I received the sweatshirt today and the label says "50% COTTON/50% POLYESTER. I only wanted an all or mostly all cotton sweatshirt.

This Hanes hooded full zip sweatshirt is everything they say it is!
I have been looking for a mostly cotton full zip hooded sweatshirt for some time now and decided to give this one a try...it's hard to go wrong with Hanes. I ordered the maroon color and I am so happy with my purchase! The color was as shown, the fit is great and it is soft and long enough to come down on my hips. I ordered a mens for that very reason. Although I have not washed it yet, I have no doubt it will wash well. Definitely a "keeper"!

Not being worn
The hoodie fits well and its color is attractive. However, even though it has been washed, it is very stiff. Husband does not find it comfortable and does not wear it.

I purchased 2 Hanes hoodies within a couple days. That being said, I will not be purchasing any Hanes hoodies for the foreseeable future. There are better options out there (Check out Champion Eco and a company called Golden Toe - much better overall than this). This one (maroon) has the elastic around the waist. Kind of. You know how you wear something with the snub elastic waste band and after 100 washes/wears it looses its eleasticity and is loose around your belly? That is what this is like brand new. If you like the cold breeze blowing up your belly or backside, then buy this. This is a medium weight hoodie, not too thin and not the heavy style. The quality isn't as expected. Color is nice. Size fits appropriately. But I like the elastic waste band being snug, not loose in the breeze. I am six four, 210. Definitely not fat. I just prefer my hoodies like that. I don't dry my hoodies/sweats due to long limbs so it didn't shrink for me.

Lightweight hoodie
It's advertised as 'heavyweight', but it's really just a lightweight hoodie. The fit and color are fine,but don't expect to use it in colder situations because it is relatively thin.
