The Cinema of Robert Rodriguez

If you like some or all of the films of Robert Rodriguez this is a very interesting book. What it gives the reader is a very in-depth review of Rodriguez films and his filmmaking style. For me what I found very interesting was how the author details aspects of the greater film industry in relation to Rodriguez films. This provides a lot of information about what was going on in the film industry at the time Rodriguez made his various movies. The author goes off onto a number of tangents as he talks about Rodriguez and his films. Some of these are interesting while others are not that educational. What this does provide is a distraction to just a straight up factual history of the filmmaker and his films. There is a lot of research in this book and it provides a good history on Rodriguez, his films and his filmmaking style.
