The quality is great. It has a nice feel. Real glass does make it on the heavy side. For those who may have joint issues you may want to look for a non-glass versions. The only down side I see is that the rim of the magnifier is shorter that the glass. So the center of the lens will sit on the desk and get scratched over time. Had the frame been slightly taller, the lens would be protected from scratches.

The handle did not line up with the glass correctly. The Seller was extremely responsive, first providing a replacement which was just the same, and then offering another one of their models, which was perfect. Turned out that the manufacturer had provided a number of the bad ones in a shipment. I highly recommend the Seller. Really takes care of its customers.

Wow a magnifying glass which is greater than 2x!!! It would be perfect if the lens frame was larger. You must have a pad to rest it on otherwise the lens will scratch since the metal frame is not wide enough to prevent the lens from touching resting surface.

Arrived today. Like so many other glasses reviewed, this lens magnifies 2x, perhaps 3x. The 10x claim is absolutely false.

I purchased this magnifying glass in June 2020 and gave it a glowing review initially. About a month ago, it fell apart, and by that I mean the small piece of what I thought was a gasket just split in two and naturally the glass separated from the handle. I am trying to super-glue the broken 'gasket' back together, which is tedious if it works at all, which remains to be seen. The end of the screw that attaches the glass to the handle is rusty and some debris fell out of the handle when I unscrewed the glass. Seemed like particle board to me, not something I would expect to fall from an antique wooden handle! Needless to say, I am not happy and certainly expected this product to last longer than six months!

This magnifying glass is well made and (seemingly) sturdy. The magnification is a good one for use at my desk; not too little magnification or too much. The lens does not show distortion for the uses that I have put it to. It has a nice wooden handle and classic design...all plusses. I am happy with the purchase. Finally, delivery was timely, and packge received in excellent shape.

The magnification works fine. The entire construction has felt sturdy and reliable. This magnifier has a heft to it that is lacking in typical magnifier lens. I usually use a small one when at coin shows, or my head band magnifier with led light. This one I purchased to have something with a bit of character to it, a touch of the classical. I also am a fan of gaslight era and 1920s Lovecraftian novelties, and this fits the bill.The handle feels great. One might say the top-heavy nature of the lens and metal on one end would be clumsy or cumbersum, I would counter that this form of magnifier is not one you will be holding a great deal. It is perfect for the casual hobbyist to use at home at their desk, as a prop in a Cthulhu LARP/fanfilm, or as a gift to liven up a work desk. It's both appealing and functional.

This thing is huge. It's nice, the only thing that I don't like is that the glass is thicker than the metal rim and so it will get scratched if laid flat... so I will have to find a soft cover for it or something. Pretty sure the purpose of the metal rim is to protect the glass itself from surfaces, so this is a fail as far as I'm concerned.

It says wooden handle in the title not wood effect -which it really is. Yes if I had looked further down in the blurb it says made of bone but I didn't read that.So nice magnifying glass BUT disappointed not real wood.

Unfortunately despite the many warnings about the false claim of 10X magnification I still went ahead and purchased this item. It has only 2-3X magnification but it is well made.

Bought as a bit of a joke for my daughter but she loves it, useful and elegant.

Quality item. Good size. Fine materials. Classic design. Pleasing in every way.

My Dad loves it and it fits in perfectly with his antique furniture.
