Got this to set up a 3 monitor for my PC. Works great and have had no issues with this! Does not come with a cable but if you need more HDMI cable connections for your PC, this is the product for you then!

I used these for older NEC monitors in my shop PC setup. My GPU has HDMI and DVI out and the monitors only have VGA and DVI. So what I did was HDMI out to an AV receiver for sound(it's better than RCA to 3.5mm and my PC doesn't have optical out), HDMI from the receiver to DVI at screen 1, and have these adapters at both ends of a 40 ft HDMI cable from the GPU to screen 2. I had all this stuff laying around from my old business so I had nothing in the setup except the price of these adapters and a 3 ft DVI extension when the 40 ft HDMI came up short. It's used for wiring diagrams on cars and Spotify on monitors that aren't capable of 1080p anyway so I see no loss in quality, they work great! Sure there's better ways but I wanted to see how cheap I could pull off the setup and use stuff I had laying around.

Someone tossed a perfectly good Dell 23 inch gaming monitor. So I salvaged it and checked it out. The monitor still worked on VGA with my old laptop. I noticed the monitor also had a DVI port but I have a Raspberry Pi Model B that outputs to HDMI and in need of a monitor. One of these HDMI to DVI adapters solved the problem. No flickers. Nice steady display.

I only wish there was maybe a provided way to transport them from place to place for mobile tech people.Since there isn't, I'd strongly suggest getting some kind of little box to protect the unit and the pins from getting bent and useless.

Was able to plug a nintendo switch into my computer monitor through the DVI port and have had no issues with it at all.

Couldn’t be better or easier! I’m an avid Macintosh user. Graphic designer and photographer and need quality monitors. My MacPro is temporarily unusable and I’ve been using a HP laptop. Editing my photos is a nightmare on that screen. I didn’t even know it was possible to run my Apple Cinema Displays on that laptop. After a lot of research on exactly what I needed I found this. Got it and expected a hassle setting it up. All I had to do was plug it on and I was good to go. Picture quality is amazing. And these are so cheap. Only downside is the adapter plus the DVI male end are so bulky together it seemed like a matter of time before the whole deal snapped off. So I just bought a female to female HDMI coupler. So I just plug a HDMI cable into the laptop and the other end goes to the coupler attached to this adapter and Apple monitor DVI cable. Perfect. Highly recommended!!

Good adaptation

Some reviews mention that the screw was difficult to tighten by hand, but the product has been improved. The screws now have a slotted end, so you can turn it with a screwdriver. The photos have not been updated to show this. The HDMI conversion worked well for me.
