Darice Quilt Hoop Wood 23IN, 1 Pack, Beige

I hand quilted a small throw quilt on this frame. It was sturdy and held a big portion of the quilt so that the frame didn't have to be removed and replaced as many times. It worked great. I will say that the size was a little harder to hold in my lap and reach across. I would have preferred a size 18 inch. They are smaller and easier for me personally to work with. This is not the quilt hoops fault. This is a great quilting hoop and sturdy, but I wouldn't recommend it to be used on a full size quilt. Although it could be done.

So I thought I was buying 1 hoop, but it's actually a set of 3 so super for the price, but if you only want 1 and don't have room for 3 beware.Packaging could have been better; bolt and wing nuts for 2 hoops were just tossed into the bottom of the bag and could have been easily lost.Wood seems sturdy enough, and the process is straightforward, but I did have to have another person help stretch the fabric and hold the hoop as it did not want to tighten without popping apart.I am using for a display and not quilting so I can't say how it holds up in actual use, but looks good on the wall.

I used these hoops to create centerpieces for my mom's surprise bday party. I like big substantial centerpieces but that don't  block guests view of one another. They were a hit! You do have to be careful while unboxing as some come with the screws not screwed in. Some of the hoops (I purchased 9 of them) were chipped a bit but didn't effect my use for them. I painted them gold which took about 2 coats. As I was hanging crystals and glass globes from the hoops I did have to create a base to accommodate the weight and ensure they wouldn't fall over. I would definitely recommend these!

I used the inner hoop to form a ring around a wall decoration. It is flimsy and light which was perfect for hanging, but if you were to actually use this for quilting and embroidery then I would imagine it would spilt and crack quite easily. I included a picture of what we used it for (added flowers later). The inner decoration is 20 inches for reference. These hoops are very large. Mine came with one outer and one inner hoop.

I purchased this very large embroidery hoop to create a whimsical reading nook for my pre-schooler's room. It was the perfect size, sturdy, and lightweight. The princess tent was exactly what I'd intended.As an aside, it's functionality as a large embroidery hoop would be as expected. The size makes it a little unwieldy if you're doing fine detail but it works like any other hoop. Inner hoop secures your piece once the nut on the outer piece is tightened properly.

I needed something flat to attach the led lights for my light ring. After figuring out how to mount it (couple of 1 inch strips of aluminum mounted from the back and attached to the ring on the front), this worked perfect for me. The block at the bottom was perfect for mounting the wires so that they do not move. Great delivery time and great quality!

Not worth the money. Already had to glue it back together after using it once. I needed it for a special gift. I just hope gluing it back makes it last until I'm finished.

I only received one piece of this product as it was missing the outer ring that tightens and holds material in place. However, for my purposes I am not using this product for that and thus will not be dealing with the return process because I only need the inner loop. The inner loop I received was good quality with no cracks or damage, it seems sturdy (even played with my dog a bit and even got him to jump through it a few times haha).

Size is great and hoop is sturdy. I wish it was little bit cheaper .

This was purchased as a guide to whether patients would fit into an MRI machine. It is light, and not as rigid as metal. It can be loosened should the patient become stuck in the hoop. As can happen using a fixed ring such as a hula hoop.

Awesome! I did a wreath and it turned out lovely! Did have to cover the rectangular part first!

Excellent for the price, although the outer ring was fragile enough to split - I would like to point out that due to the large size it came as no surprise that it happened. However, luckily I only needed the inner hoop to make a dream catcher. The inner hoop appeared to be stronger. Not sure I would recommend this for quilting.
