Riley's Savannah!
Riley's life has not been an easy one. His ideologies are birthed from hate. However, after his cousin's marriage and his own intriguing encounter, he's now questioning his role in furthering those views.Savannah's life has been mired in harshness, and she thought the last straw was her sister's betrayal as she ran to a friend for a safe haven, only to find that peace would come at a cost. That the most unlikely source for that peace was Riley, a man who has no use for her kind of people.Like the first book, this one was a bit difficult to read, but overall it's very good as the characters were more developed. However, I wished the author had taken the time to tied up the loose ends, unless, of course, it was done intentionally to give us a book 3(?), which I would definitely read. Hint!Do I recommend it? Yes!

A Love Worth Dying For
This second book was an amazing story. I never thought that this series would be the one for me. But once I started I just couldn't put it down. It had racism, hate, ignorance. Yet on the other side you find lust, confusion ,hurt, rejection. Stereotypes, lying, chauvinist (male), users. Painful family's relationships. Some of these everyone has gone through. If only we could find the type of love that was found in both stories.

Colored
Do people still say colored? Yeah this book was a tough read. Some of the terms used for black people were hurtful and hard to accept. I couldn't really relate with Savannah's character. Since she had money I felt she should have gotten herself a lawyer against her so called family for how they stole from her. I don't know why she didn't just get a new cell phone and stop taking the calls of said family. Mother or not to put up with that kind of verbal abuse I couldn't stomach it. The woman needed a good cursing out and good old fashion calling out to street to take care of business would have done her some good too! Maybe that's too much but I was getting tired of that old heifer. It didn't seem like Savannah had any common sense bcz she couldn't seem to realize she lived in a town where the men wouldn't hesitate to rape her, beat her and kill her. What happened to Trenton? he was supposed to be such a fine and put together brother but yet he had no woman. And just like most black men they don't want to see a black woman date outside her race. Something that black men do all the time. He had anger issues and based on a comment he made he had "mommy issues" as well. Riley was who he was and he didn't apologize for it. I thought he was hot as described and I think his character was the most honestly written. He certainly wasn't afraid to get in somebody's face. It was definitely hard to hear about some of the things he's done and wouldn't hesitate to do. it would have to be love for sure cause it would be hard to be with a man like him. However he's loyal when he believes in something and if he truly loves savannah he will always take care of her.

Hot Damn!!
This was spellbinding and freaking awesome! I was hooked from the first word until I read "The End." I thought Bobby Jack was a humdinger but Riley is a motor scooter that takes nothing from anyone and he is no joke.Riley met a woman that stole his heart and breath in the blink of an eye and caused him to look even deeper into his bag of crap and make life altering decisions.Savannah in the midst of separating herself from her abusive and painful life discovered not all people are as bad as they seem and that everyone has a story but can still be a safe haven for a wounded heart.Racism is a hard and sensitive subject and is hard for many to understand, read and accept. It is very real and prevalent still. Kassanna handled the topic well and even explained the differences in the factions of White Supremacists. I enthusiastically recommend both Falling and Rising to anyone that wants to read real and gritty stories that are built upon truth.Thank you for another provocative, amazing and heart wrenching story with a healthy dash of love.

An Unexpected Surprise
I am TRULY a fan of this author and this book proves the reason for my loyalty. First.....I didn't know there would be a book two but I am glad Riley got his own story. Let me piggyback on one of the reviewers who said that the book was all over the place. In my opinion that's not the most accurate description. It would be more accurate to say that there were a lot of subplots going on simultaneously. Which, when compared to the first book in this series made it almost seem like too much. Aside from that.....thank you to the author for actually explaining Riley because after reading Falling I was left with the impression that he was no longer a part of his uncle's world in any way. So thank you for explaining his behavior. Kudos for continuing to write strong, female characters who know their own mind and follow their heart despite what others may say.If you have never read anything by this author, you will not be disappointed.*******Take heed to the warning at the beginning of the book. Due to the background of the male lead this book is rife with statements that accurately depict the characters upbringing and current lifestyle. This language, while accurate, may be offensive to some. If you can get past the language, again, you will not be disappointed.*******

Ok book
This book they pick up on the last book. But it was so much missing it to the story. The lame explanation about the parents at the end. If he didn't die is he really out of the kkk. Just too many holes In the story.

Implausible , incomprehensible and repulsive
I will not be finishing this book as its beyond ridiculous. The author had a good story premise and plot but the execution is terrible. There is no chemistry between the couple and absolutely no reason for them to get involved. Why would a black woman with any sense happily approach a guy dressed and tattooed up to hilt in words and images proclaiming he hates everything about black people because she thinks he has an attractive profile ??Compounded by his use of derogatory terms to describe black people in front of her which she lets go unchecked paint her as pretty dumb for an educated woman. Add in the fact that his first solution to solving the problem of a black man attempting to rape her is to lynch him which, she despite being in the legal profession barely comments on, instead choosing to let the guys racist friends take him away rather than calling the police. Then when he decides to give up his involvement as leader of a racist sect he plans to ensure the sects survival and expansion before leaving!!Lastly having murdered someone for being part of an interracial relationship it is highly unlikely that he would then pursue one makes him a completely unattractive hero to any heroine with an ounce of sense surly!!!!The whole thing becomes beyond implausible, beyond my comprehension and somewhat repulsive.

Mixed feelings
I don't know how I feel about this book, Its not easy to write a story about a white supremacist who falls for a black woman, mainly because that type of relationship makes no sense, while is possible to believe that someone with racist beliefs can be attracted to a person of another race its not so believable that a person of colour would happily date and be intimate with a man who regularly uses derogatory racist terminology and drops the N word into almost every sentence.Riley's character is portrayed as a hard working, bad boy who doesn't take any nonsense from anybody who saves Savannah on numerous occasions and that is the reason the author gives for their connection as well as the fact that He accepts her for who she is and doesn't want her to change, however he's a leader of a hate group and he's covered in tattoos expressing these beliefs. His best friends are lieutenants in this organisation who regularly make reference to Savannah's race and never once do Riley and Savannah have a serious conversation about his ideology or the fact that he kills at least two people and seriously assaults another during the short period of time that she's known him.I didn't hate the book but I'm not sure I liked it either what self respecting black female would have an intimate relationship with a man who hates every member for her race apart from her. I just don't know.
