Bawdy fun
Originally read this decades ago when I was reading up on the legend of Faust and decided to give it another read through. I was not disappointed - this is a bawdy and humorous retelling of the story of Faust - a man who, apparently, sold his soul to the Devil, as told by his apprentice. A very easy read, but not for the easily offended or puritanical of mind. Note to self: I must find the time to read more by Robert Nye!

Four Stars
Interesting, provocative and historically well-grounded.

Really funny and very filthy
The best of Robert Nye's novels, laugh out loud funny and some of the filthiest humour that I've ever read.
