Justin has personally known the formulators of generations of waterproofing materials and has had a hand in the evolving requirements and recommendations of many ASTM waterproofing standards. He has specified many types of waterproofing and been involved in solving the problems that occur during construction. It would be hard to find a waterproofing expert who has deeper or more broad experience. The book, correctly I think, sticks to what he knows. Take for example the subject of waterproofing substrates. The index has many references to concrete but none to plywood, which is common in multi-family construction in western states. My impression is that what Justin put in the book is based on his considerable experience.

I am a pro. I have been doing it for over 20 yrs. This is the textbook.
