This book gave me a real insight into the spender of Giverny prior to my visit. As well as some excellent photographs it provided information about each of the rooms in the house, the paintings on the walls as well as details about the two gardens. I particularly liked the two illustrated maps of the house interior and gardens which helped me to plan my visit. I would rate the contents and information provided by the book as five stars however the quality of the book was substandard as some of the pages have started to come out which I would not expect.

A gem
An excellent account of the life, Giverny home and garden of Claude Monet, a gem of a reminder following our visit to Giverny, and of the Royal Academy exhibition

Having visited Giverny in May of 2015 I was especially pleased to see the home of Monet and read more about its history. The gardens and house are exactly as depicted in the book. A lovely memory and now one I have in front of me when I wish.

As close to being there...
The 95 pages is truly "Walking Into A Work Of Art" The photographs are absolutely beautiful. The walk through the house and gardens where Monet spent the final years of his life and possibly his most creative are so descriptive. You're left with a clear understanding of what it must have been like living the experience with Monet and his family.
