Absolutely AMAZING dish cloth EVER!!!
Absolutely amazing dish cloth I’ve EVER used!!!I’m sure I’m not the only one who love “made in Japan” items because you know you are getting quality items and this isn’t exception!!Let me tell you first, HAND WASH with hot water BEFORE you use! When you open the bag, you’d probably think why this cloth is stiff. That’s because they use starch for packaging. As soon as you wash with hot water, you’d be amazed how SOFT this cloth is!!!They use natural bincho charcoal for odor-eliminating purpose so your dish cloth never be stinky.(That’s why this cloth is charcoal gray.)This cloth is super soft, super absorbent, quick dry and durable. It says “high quality layered fine mesh cloth” but to me, it feels like high quality muslin cloth or layered gauze cloth. You can use bleach and machine wash but DO NOT tumble dry!! It will shrink! This cloth dry super fast so you do not need to use dryer!I looked up this company online and found out that this company Shirayuki in Nara prefecture, Japan is well known, reputable company for dish cloth and there’re people in Japan that they say they don’t use ANY dish cloth but shirayuki cloth only.No wonder why! It’s THAT good!Yes, this cloth is a bit pricey comparing to others but you’d know why once you use it and you never go back to old one!Highly recommend and Worth every penny!!!!(This will be perfect little gift as well!!!)

Don't dry it
Great if you want something NOT made in china. Not your typical small towel cotton type dish cloth that can be abused though. Not any more absorbent than anything else. Feels nice and looks good and works good. If it accidentally goes through the dryer it's basically ruined and won't look the same, although it still functions.

Best Kitchen Towel Ever
Don't worry when you first take the stiff, rough towel out of the package. After you remove the starch by washing and soaking it in warm water, you'll have an amazing kitchen tool. It's very different from the ones you're probably used to. The thing I like most about it is that it's small, but soft and super absorbent. It can clean and dry a lot more stuff than you'd expect. Because it's made from layers of fine mesh cloth, it can absorb a lot of liquid without feeling soggy, and it dries quickly. Another benefit of its small size is that it's easy to hand-wash. Also, it's very durable and lint-free, and the charcoal prevents it from getting smelly.

My first time using a Japanese kitchen wipe and it works well
I had to give the Shirayuki Japanese Kitchen Cloth a try.Made of layered fine mesh cloth, it's much different from your average dish towel. It's quite thin and its handmade in Nara.I was surprised of what it was made of, using the finest potato starch from Kagoshima and its recommended to hand wash it in warm water before use to remove any excess starch and contains binchotan to control odor.It is no doubt durable and highly absorbent, and I do recommend it!

Handy, absorbent, and aesthetically pleasing.
This is a great kitchen cloth- first and foremost. It's a good size, absorbs water well, and it looks good hanging in your kitchen. It actually looks better than my stove so maybe that's an upgrade for the future. You do have to wash it before you use it the first time, but after that it's smooth sailing. I love the texture, the colors, and the construction. It feels like it's going to last longer than any of my other kitchen towels.Five stars!

Very soft after removing starch
If you're not familiar with this type of Japanese kitchen cloth with bamboo, it is important that you soak it and wring it in warm water several times before using it. Once you soaked it and squeezed it out a few times and warm water, the starch will be removed. That's when this cough becomes very soft and absorbent. Does a great job holding a lot of water and is very durable. I definitely recommend this Japanese style kitchen cloth.

The best cloth for keeping sink dry!
I realized I've been using this cloth to wipe up water around the sink for a few weeks. I haven't washed it since I got it, but it smells like a clean cloth. This was a great buy, and I will totally get it again when this one needs replacing (but I don't expect that to happen soon).
