I think peeps are using this product incorrectly, cuz it works great!
Okay, You Peeps,LISTEN UP!!!You HAVE TO SQUIRT THIS ON YOUR DISH SPONGE, PLASTIC SCRUBBER, DISH CLOTH, DISH RAG, Whatever it is you're using to do your dishes. AND DO NOT PUT IT IN THE WATER IN YOUR SINK!!! It's NOT MEANT TO BE USED THAT WAY, in the first place! So, for those of you complaining, TRY USING THIS PRODUCT AS DIRECTED ON THE LABEL!!!!!This product works just fine if you use it the way it's supposed to be! Fill your sink with hot water, and start with the least greasy and least food coated dishes, like cups and glasses. Move on to plates, bowls, and the like. Do greasy or heavy food coated stuff last. No matter what kind of dish soap I use, be it Dawn, Palmolive, Ecos, or whatever, I always wash my dishes cleanest to dirtiest, and I drain and refill the sink with fresh hot water when I decide it's gotten to dirty to clean any more dishes with. To get nice sparkling glassware, that has to be done first, before anything else. So, you squirt a dollop the size of a quarter onto your sponge. Or less. Lift the dish out of the hot water, and clean it with the soapy sponge. Rinse the dishes off in cold water, but DO NOT IMMERSE YOUR SOAPY SPONGE, OR LET THE RINSE WATER GET ON IT!!!I can get quite a good number of dishes cleaned with each small dollop of this soap, as long I do it CORRECTLY!!! When I wash my frying pans, first I always wipe the grease and meat residue out of them with a paper towel. I don't want that going down my drain and into the pipes. Rinse it with hot water, then use a freshly soaped sponge, scrubber, rag, or whatever you prefer, to wash it, like you do normally. If you're one who likes to take better care of their pots and pans, and isn't as lazy and useless like all my white trash neighbors in my apt complex are, and actually cleans the grease and gunk off exteriors, and out of the grooves, crevices and from around the handles, at the outer edges on the glass lids, just do it with a fresh dollop of soap on your favorite, most effective scrubbing device, and then rinse with HOT water, before you rinse again with cold. This soap will suds up plenty, but not as much as the chemically-based ones like Dawn.Using Ecos, in mid-June, I successfully, ecologically responsibly, rescued a nice set of name brand, large, white, ceramic 4 piece place settings of dishes for 6, a big set of name brand heavy stainless and copper-bottomed pots and pans, some individual, name branded specialty ones, baking items, lots of plastic pitcher and food storage containers, and some other cooking stuff, from a big box set beside the dumpster in our rural, small-town, small sized apt complex.Yes, amazingly a guy in one apt actually liked to cook, but was not 100% spot-on at washing stuff, or maybe his wife wasn't, and then he broke up with her, lost his housing construction job (so he had a second huge tote box set out by the dumpster of his like-new power tools - circ saw, air nail gun, etc,) and moved out one Friday morning. So they ended up in my kitchen sink of 150 degree hot water, and after half an hour or so of thorough cleaning with Ecos dishwashing soap dolloped on my plastic sponge thingie, repeated as needed, and they looked like new! Being a gourmet, haute cuisine, foodie/chef who lost her job and home because she had to flee her abusive Ex, left me using cheap pots and pans, and plates, so easily rescuing these nice ones really made my day/week/month/year/every meal much nicer! So if I can do that with Ecos dishwashing soap, it can clean plenty good! And no I won't tell you exactly where I live so you can just come over here and compete with me in dumpster diving for good stuff. I won't share my sources of nice suitcases, area carpets, cute wooden magazine rack, box fans, chairs, dining and patio tables, new clothes with price tags still on them, carboys, tv stand, and other good finds, but I'll let you take away my 2 useless neighbors, Mr. Stinky Blank Stare, who doesn't know what soap and water actually do, like clean dishes, apt surfaces and fixtures, bodies and clothes, and Fan Boy who has a fetish for having all kinds of fans going all the time and goes away for a week with his mom, leaving his windows wide open so raccoons get inside and ransack his kitchen... Yes, this is the crap people I have to put up with, when the police don't haul them away for meth/opioid dealing or violating no-contact orders, BUT I HAVE SPARKLING CLEAN DISHES AND POTS AND PANS SO I CAN COOK UP EXOTIC MEALS, THANKS TO ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY ECOS!!!

Doesn't dry out your hands and is a great value!
For starters, I am not a "green" type. I bought this because it was a good price and generally speaking, I was looking for something that would be better on my hands. Mostly, I was just looking for dish soap.I had recently bought the Earth Friendly laundry detergent and liked it more than I expected, so I figured, why not?For someone who previously ONLY ever used regular brands of dish detergent with SLS and so forth, I wasn't entirely sure what to expect other than that many reviews say that it doesn't suds up much. So, here's my take:1. It doesn't suds up as much as regular dish soap OR you have to use more to get the same amount of suds. It DOES suds up, but I find myself pouring it generously on the sponge.2. Despite very liberal and daily use of it, I still have about 1.5 bottles left of this 3-pack. For that alone, I would say this was a good value. These a short bottles, but they are fat bottles and hold quite a bit.3. The scent is pleasant and not overwhelming, nor chemical-y. It smells sweet, reminiscent of almond extract. The scent isn't all over your hands or all over the dishes. It's pretty mild and for the most part, I only smell it when I am first pouring it on the sponge. To those who have emphatically said it is CHERRY almond - well, it might be but all 3 of my bottles just say "almond".4. The best part of this soap is that it is not so drying on your hands. I feel like taking my last full bottle to work because we have a cheap commercial detergent there and my hands dry out almost instantly after washing even a few dishes. With this soap, I can wash a whole sink full and my hands don't dry out or not as badly.Overall, I like this detergent and I would be apt to buy it again, especially in this value pack. I can't say it's suddenly my new favorite detergent or anything, especially because of how much you have to use. I am on the fence about the scent because on one hand, it smells nice in the bottle and coming out, and sometimes it's nice that everything doesn't have that typical dish soap scent. On the other hand, sometimes it's nice to help get rid of odors or something but, that's really grasping. I think I'm on the fence because of what I'm USED to, not necessarily what's BETTER.I just changed my rating from 4 stars to 5 because honestly, the ONLY thing I can truly fault it on is how much you have to use to get a good lather. But I don't think it's actually as much as it seems, for one, and I can't help but notice how I STILL have a bottle and a half left despite feeling like I'm using it "more". Truthfully, I recall many a time where I've had to pour on more Dawn or Palmolive between every few dishes, and I feel like that is just a downfall of dish soap in general and not something to hold against this particular one. So really, you might have to use a bit more but everything else I would consider either neutral or positive, and I especially love how it doesn't dry out my hands.

What, for dishes only? I wash mysef and lots of other things with it, GREAT!!!
I have been buying this for many years from Whole Foods (now owned by Amazon). Only started ordering online during the pandemic.I use this for everything but clothes. Works great. And to the lady who washed found dishes with it, I loved your long, five star review!

Not a powerful detergent
I bought this for the scent, to use in the shower. It works well for this purpose, but has very low cleaning power as compared with other similar detergents. I think it would be perfect as a hand dish washing agent, which is its actual purpose.
