Obsidian Journal (Diary, Notebook)

If you like these type of things, it is worth it.
The journal is sturdier than I anticipated, the pages look great, and the information sticker in the back is easy to remove. It is definitely worth it, in my opinion.

Great Journal! High Quality & Great Price. Perfect For Me
This thing is more than I expected! I love it. It’s easy to carry with you in your travel bag or backpack. The paper is of high quality along with easy to write or sketch - although it only comes in Lined. I’ve used it so much already. The outside makes it look like an expensive book. It’s so cool!

A lovely notebook
I bought this to use as a commonplace book. It is made of quite good paper, I use a fountain pen and the paper only has very minimal bleeding occasionally and there is no ghosting through the paper. The cover feels nice and sturdy and the pattern is very appealing. All in all, a welcome addition to my bookshelf.

Journal
Such a pretty journal. I highly recommend anything from this brand as I’ve never been disappointed. All the journals have beautiful designs and are made extremely well.

A possible knockoff? Still quite beautiful though.
Not as textured as the photo suggests (referring specifically to the leather-grain look). It is possibly a knock-off Peter Pauper Press..? I don’t totally hate it though. It still has an embossed/3D feel.I feel like the gold-colored filigree kind of looks slightly blown out/dull like someone took an image and stretched it larger, creating a slight blur… Still a pretty journal though, and I’m still happy.**Disclaimer** Stickers not included. That was a separate Amazon purchase. I just wanted to show that the solid gold page and the black header embellishment are still present (whether or not this is a knockoff Peter Pauper Press or not).

Quality at a Great Price
I think I have at least ten of the Peter Pauper Press journals in this series based on old European designs. I love the old world elegance of these journals at such a reasonable price and this one is no exception. This book is a black gold-embossed journal modeled after one from 17th century France. On the cover there’s a four leaf clover surrounded by a four point star made out of flowers, vines and scrollwork. That in turn is surrounded by another intricate design of lines and more scroll work. What I also love about these journals are the spines aren’t plain but the design is carried over to those too.The inside covers are in gold and there’s a built-in black ribbon bookmark. There is a cover page that has Journal written on it and there’s room to add your name, year or a note if you so like. The journal has 160 lightly lined pages. I didn’t have any issues with ball point or fountain pens bleeding though the papers. The pages are a thick enough texture to keep that from happening. The journals’ pages are always made from acid free archival paper so they are of a high quality. It’s a good size at 6.25 x 8.25 inches. This makes a great journal for a diary, sketch book or just a journal to jot down notes or write stories or poems.

a great quality for an awesome price
I could spend $20 at a department store and this journal is still my preferred, hands down. quality hard book, the cover is a matte black with gold trim, but don't be fooled by the off-black because it still looks very classy and nice irl so I wouldn't even be concerned about the difference in color. the book lays flat, which I like because I do a lot of creative work. even after putting this book thru a LOT of use, the journal doesn't flop open like a lot of other journals do when you use them a lot (and then try to close them and they just don't stay shut all of the way, if that makes sense) but this is one tough journal! I write front and back of each page and use the amazon prime tanmit pens and I experience little to no bleed thru, I write like Godzilla and inadvertently manhandle the pages, no rips, no bleed thru, no nothing. the pages are thick and sturdy and the gold trim on the pages is a really aesthetically appealing touch to this journal. I bought two of these bad boys (of different designs, but they are both of identical quality) and this is probably the only retailer I will ever by journals from :) 10/10
