Students Companion International Edition. New Edition Paperback – 17 June 1991

The Student's Companion should be an inseparable partner from the 5th grade for today's Elementary and Secondary school pupils. I used the Indian Edition in my earlier days for the first time over 20 years ago. It is still in my personal library. This International Edition is well updated continues to provide excellent reference material on a wide range of relevant subjects. I highly recommend it.

Very good book for standard 1 and 2.Many new words be found from this book.All time great.I was using when I was a child. Gifted by my uncle. Now I purchased for my son who is in 3rd standard.

Duplicate not original

This is a copy of the original book and not the original book. Firstly it does not have the authors name (WILFRED)as shown in the pic and it is a product of neha publishing house,jamshedpur. It shows compiled and printed by a panel of teachers (who has started smartly a business of fraud and looting people by tie ups with some reputed schools in name of education and compulsory introduction in school syllabus). and secondly the seller charged Rs 100 for delivery where as he has incurred only Rs.36 as freight charges.A copyright case should be filed against the publisher and also for the seller. The actual mrp as per the pic is Rs.125 where as the neha publishing house have printed a duplicate copy with mrp of Rs.195. How conveniently they are cheating people specially the seller who is selling something which is similar to what the picture describes.i want my money back as i am being cheated

Very useful book for students and teachers. I love it

This book was recommended to me by one who thought it didn't exist in the US. She was from Jamaica and was telling me about their educational system as I had encountered her well-educated young elementary school student and asked how he knew so much. She told me how, in Jamaica, you had to pass a test to get from 6th grade to 7th grade, which was the beginning of high school. Much of the test was taken from this book, which covers the facts about most subjects. This book contains list after list of things we had to memorize when I was young. As a school principal, I encounter students coming into our school who are empty-headed but sure they are creative. NOTE: You can be creative AND full of knowledge. I am recommending this book to our parents as a source of info for their own kids. We forget that young students can memorize like crazy if you show them they can. That starts to become a bit harder around age 12, dwindling through life. You can't think creatively unless you have mental building blocks to use. This book supplies so much info that was formerly assumed you would learn in schools that is no longer taught. Want to move a student/person from dumbed down to on fire? Use this book.
