I've been treating a cat with what my vet has diagnosed as a kidney infection. She's still very young & with a high wbc, we ruled out CKD. Still waiting on the urine culture to confirm the proper antibiotics but she's been on the one most commonly recommended for kidney infections for13 days with little to no improvement. Disclaimer: I am a 35 year + cat breeder so I have some credibility in treating many different diseases and infections in cats and have often times educated my vet on new treatment or products available, i.e. the cure for F.I.P. is one that comes to mind. I could see that my kitty was becoming anemic from signs I've learned to recognize and her appetite was practically non-existant. In fact, before I started giving her this iron supplement, I was ready to give up and have her pts. I started her on it 3 days ago and after the 3rd day, she has turned a corner. Her appetite is returning to the point I'm no longer syringe feeding her, her coat is lying back down and smooth again, and her energy, strength and behavior have all started to return to normal. I highly recommend it for any pet trying to recover from an illness, infection, surgery, or anything causing weakness in them. It's been a godsend for us. But I do recommend ordering oral syringes with your order. They are more clearly marked to read dosages and also make it easier than the dropper provided to administer to your pet. Since she only needed .5ml, I used a 1ml syringe. A large cat, >10 lbs or a dog, you might consider a 3ml syringe or larger. Also available on Amazon.

This liquid iron product seems to work well although I have only used a quarter dose for my dog who has significant digestive issues, and I use it only several days per week. However, he seems to have more energy even on those small doses. I would only use products like this because we regularly see a vet and my dog has lab work done to support these extra measures. I did not give the product 5 stars because the eye dropper is difficult to read with its white lines (not black) to indicate ml in the dropper, so I usually count the drops onto my dog's pureed food to make sure I stay at my goal of one qtr. dose. Even the directions say to start gradually! This product is worth a try if there is evidence your dog has specific health issues related to iron.

​I cannot recommend this product enough! My mom's dog was incredibly ill, barely eating or moving, and we were so worried. The vet had told us she most likely wouldn't make it through the night because her red blood cell count was critically low. It was a truly terrifying time.​After giving her just a few drops of this product the change was almost immediate. She started feeling better, eating again, and within a short time, she was back to her playful self. This product truly saved her life, and we are incredibly grateful. If your pet is struggling, especially with something as serious as a low red blood cell count, this is absolutely worth trying!And it's worth noting, she loves the taste of it aswell!

Love this product I took my dog to the vet because he wasn’t eating and losing weight , the vet wouldn’t recommend anything and said there wasn’t really anything he could give him so I did my research and tried this and he’s like his old self but better eating more acting like a puppy again I been using this for over a year no side effects and most important he’s healthy happy and energetic!!!!!

I took in a four month old kitten who is suffering from a flea infestation and not doing very well. He became very lethargic and withdrawn and I was worried he had anemia and would need a blood transfusion. I bought this and within two days he was feeling better and eating again and a week later he’s back to his normal himself. I would highly recommend.

My lil guy had been lethargic, not eating or drinking for a couple of days. His nose, pads and gums were pale. We took him to our vet, and was told that his red blood cell count was extremely low@ 6.7 Hematocrit, and it should’ve been around 30-50%. He needed a blood transfusion that only certain hospitals could do at a cost ranging from $5000-10,000. My only temporary option was to try this, along with syringe feeding him broth and water to keep him alive. His nose, pads and gums are pink again, he’s eating, and drinking, although I still syringe feed him water to make sure he’s hydrated, but the iron supplements made all the difference. This stuff helped save my baby. I’m curious now to see where his blood levels are at. That’s are next step.

Our dog is 60 pounds and we went thru the bottle in no time. It is supposed to be a 2 month supply. She is old but we saw no significant benefit to her physical stamina. We tried but this just didn't do it for her. She loved the taste and it really did smell like bacon.
