X-23: THE COMPLETE COLLECTION VOL. 2

My ex enjoyed them and this company helps with getting stuff to inmates

X-23 never held much interest to me as a solo story but I found myself enjoying most of this book. Some of the collection was stronger than other, same with the art, but ultimately I walked away satisfied.

Good read, had it pre ordered becuase I'm a big X-23 fan.The main reason to get this book is for the 4 issues worth of X-23 and Jubilee teaming up. Fantastic art by Sana Takeda, great story with some actual character development. This team up had been collected before but it was released awhile back and is hard to find. For me these few issues make it worth the price.That said, the rest of the collection is weak in comparison, in my opinion. There is section were she teams up with the Fantastic 4 which is entertaining but unnecessary. Another with a version of Mr Sinister that starts the book in a odd spot and is a story I've read before and did not care for. That's followed by a hefty section of Daken material thats ok, with a tiny bit of character development. The rest is Gambit material that works well, Gambit serves as a good bouncing board and helps move the stories along.Overall entertaining and like I said a good read, but it drags in sections, perking up when you hit Takeda's artwork.Another thing to note is that what is pictured is not the cover you get. I will include a picture.

good writing with a legacy for a wolverine replacement. future of a leading character for generations to come .great read

Always been a fan of Marvel Comics and have enjoyed stories of both the gals & the guys. The art work is spectacular and the stories just grab you and pull you right into their world. Give them a try and become a fan of the Marvel Universe.

Artwork is excellent to superb at times. Writing is in depth without being too wordy. Good character development. Wonderful balance between fighting action and Laura's struggle to define herself and find her humanity.

Shiiping got on time and the comic book was as described. Good condition.

Great product as an X-Men fan. Also all Gambit fans should get it as well!

Vol.1に続き、おなじみのマーベルキャラクター盛りだくさん！ゆえにマーベル弱者だった筆者は非常に苦労しました・・・。ダケンとシニスターが誰なのか知っていれば大体話はわかると思います。「Killing Dream」でX-MENの施設を離れたX-23と、それを追ったガンビットの旅物語のようなもの。X-23の場合は自分と敵というより、自分との戦いがメインになっています。ガンビットとの旅を続けるうちに、自分との戦いを終えて、望まずして生まれてきてしまった自分の生き方を見つけていくことになります。ウルヴァリンのクローンで、元々はお助けキャラ的な側面が強かったX-23が一人のスーパーヒーローとして見えてきます。最後は完結というより製作側の事情で打ち切りになったらしいのですが、あの締め方も好きでした。

A good collection. X-23 is one of my favourite next generations characters. This volume is a lot slower and less action packed than the other as it is more about X-23 finding herself, building relationships, and making her own choices.The first arc is X-23 striking off on her own with the fall out from her role in X-Force. Gambit is along for the ride. Like a good mentor he let's her take the lead, the bad side is Gambit us my favourite X-man I wanted him to do more.X-23 meets Draken this is the most action packed arc in the volume.X-23 meets Wolverine's other "daughter" who is going through her own changes and transitions.X-23 builds inroads to the Future Foundation and a thread from her annual is explored.The final ard is more of a new beginning and dealing with some old issues.Great story, great character development, a little light on the action though I understand why this is necessary.

The first one was good, this one is not as good although it was very cool to read Daken and Laura's first meeting. Reading this just made me re-read Death of Wolverine, The Logan Legacy, and then Wolverines.It was really enjoyable.
