My Podiatrist recommended these toe caps. My second toe was overlapping my big toe which was uncomfortable to painful. I had been using the piece that goes under your toes and ball of the toe with a strap for the offending toe, but that was less successful and some of my shoes wouldn't fit The toe cap is much more comfortable and that toe never hurts now. Because of the gel, the cap is a bit hard to get slipped down on your toe. I keep a pair of tweezers by my shoes and use them to pull the cap in place. The caps are easily cut to fit with scissors. I'm very pleased.
