Color Variations
It seems to me they may be mislabeling some of these, or the pictures are taken some way.I just received this "azure bowl" and it is very green, as others have said.I have to wonder if it's really the "seascape" one.I have the "mountain mist" and it is also not as pictured, yet the colors are very similar; and it's beautiful. So I'll order the "seascape" and maybe somehow, "azure" will emerge.Otherwise, these are very good bowls for what they do. Good size, shape, and the ceramic and glaze is good quality.

Quiet, Calming Color; Nearly Perfect Design
The quiet colors (azure/earth) -- accurate as shown in the ad -- and the simple design of the bowl lends a peaceful feeling to the room. Although I was searching for an unglazed or raku-fired incense bowl, this bowl will work fine. The size is smaller, but reasonably accurate as stated in the ad. The height (2-3/4") is OK, but a wider opening would be safer to fully contain a tall incense stick should it fall while unattended. The volume of the bowl is 300 ml (1-1/4 US cups). A 38g package of Shoyeido fine ash would fill approx 2/3 of the bowl -- just about perfect. The price is high for a 4" bowl, but it appears to be well-made and it is beautiful. I would purchase this item again.

Great incense bowls.
Love these bowls. I prefer these as I use incense of varying size (thickness).I use sand in the bowls but you could place an incense stick holder instead.I placed a highlighter for size reference. The bowls have a nice weight and perfect size. Beautiful colors. I highly recommend. My picture shows a smokeless incense stick (Japanese) with black fine sand. I have not cleaned the ash.The bowls are very attractive and I have them around the house and bathrooms.
