These were bought to be used as stands. I wanted something simple, functional, nothing ostentatious as it’s often found in a high end stereo system, but still pleasing to the eyes.All my goals are met with the pair of the stands. They even aesthetically enhanced my audiophile landscape - almost “presenting” my monoblock amps, as the proportions of the design is perfection in itself.Sturdy, well built, great appearance, comes with little rubber feet at the bottom of each leg. Mine are black as chosen, well painted top to bottom to underneath, not a splinter to be found.They have a cutout in the middle of the top for ease of carry, just large enough for small hands, yet small enough so little foot or toes won’t get caught. It has fully rounded out edges to reduce hazards.If my kids were toddlers still there’s no question in my mind to order more to help them reach a faucet.With a cushion on top it probably would be a great short stool.I’m beyond pleased with it. We recently updated our bedroom furniture - our new queen bed with a small box support, and a thicker mattress with topper, makes the bed a bit tall for this short lady to climb into comfortably. I wanted something simple, classic, and wood (no plastic, please) to help me step up into the bed. This little stool is perfect! It's short enough to fit under the bed when not in use (be aware, there are safety non-slip pads on the feet, so you'll need to slightly lift it, as it won't slide), and pretty enough, I don't mind it being visible. It is a bit pricey, but the quality is great - and this is an item I use (and see) everyday. Very happy with my purchase

I use this stool to climb into my tall bed and it’s just perfect for that purpose. It’s the right height, very sturdy and wide enough to be stable. The finish is an extra bonus. Totally AMAZING quality. Amazon is usually good quality, but the craftmanship of this step stool is fantastic. I gave it a 5 for lightweight but it is fairly heavy - which I think is great, for a step stool! It's beautiful, as well as sturdy. The wood is smooth and polished and a gorgeous color. There is an opening in the top for carrying it place to place easily. And the legs have soft bumpers underneath, so no sliding.Kudos, makers, for an awesome product!

It's kind of sad but I don't expect things to be super well made nowadays, but this step is truly the real deal. Also? IT COMES PRE-BUILT! No dowels and wood glue and allen wrenches! It is ready to go right out of the box.I have a very high bed--frame was built for storage underneath, and I have full box springs plus a 14-inch mattress plus cushion topper, so my bed hits just below my hips--and I just had surgery, so I needed an easier way of getting into and out of bed than the triple axel leg-hoist-and-haul maneuver I usually perform. This is a bit over 6 inches high, which is very easy, and it is SOLID. I have no fear of it tipping. I have it on a throw rug but it was stable on hardwood as well. My husband is a larger man and it held his weight perfectly. The length and width are very good. It's a stepstool, not a full set of stairs; the size is generous and more than enough to stand with feet several inches apart comfortably. It's also a nice color, almost a true color match to the dark cherrywood of my furniture. (It's lighter in color.)The only improvement I might make is to put some nonslip strips on the top of it. I like my feet soft and smooth and, well, they can get a little slippery, more so if I actually manage to keep socks on overnight. That's it, though. Really truly impressed by an honest to goodness authentic product. Get this!

Very nice, well made step stool. Just what I needed. And it's attractive. I move it around from space to space as needed. And that's easy to do. The hand grip on top of stool makes moving it around very easy. No regrets with this purchase.

This stool is all I expected with the exception it is a little slick on bare feet getting into bed. I hate to do this, but I will probably have to put some "nonskid" tape on top, which will take away from the nice appearance of the stool.

This is actually the second one of these step stools that I have purchased. I used the first one for beside my bed so that I did not need to pole vault into it. I liked it so well I bought a second one to use in the kitchen in order to reach things higher up - it is solid wood and carries my weight without fear of it collapsing. This product is just plain gorgeous as only high qualify wood and the finish can be. It is well worth the price.

This bench/step is a great product, I’ve been using it as a step up into my bed. It adds just the right height to easily lift my legs. It also match’s my bedroom furniture.

I did not expect to like this stepping stool so much, but it is truly beautiful. It is of such high quality that I don't want to use it to stand on to reach my high cupboards. It feels like it is worthy of more admiration than to be relegated for this purpose. That being said, it is so strong and sturdy, that it gives me a lot of confidence when I stand it.
