Seiko Prospex Automatik Diver´s Limited Edition SNE437P1 Mens Wristwatch Diving Watch

First of all, I rarely write reviews. This watch deserves a good look from anyone looking for a good diving sports watch that can be worn for evening wear as well.As others point out, it is hefty and solid. I have been impressed with its accurate time keeping, as well as its durability. I wear it day in and day out and it never skips a beat. As with all light-assisted watches, I try to keep it somewhere with light when I do decide to switch. However, I made the mistake of putting it in the glovebox one day and forgot to take it out...for three weeks! It kept time perfectly. I half expected it to have stopped and/or lost time. I assumed I would have to recharge it. Nope.This watch's styling is also great. It reminds me of the Submariner, but the cost is 1/10th of that watch. It keeps better time, too. The weight, size, and feel are perfect. I am a diver, and though I don't go down to the suggested limit of the watch, I have regularly dove to 100' or more and have had no issues. It just does what it is supposed to do..keep time. And, it looks good doing it.

Great watch! I bought this watch to replace my Seiko auto-wind diver. I like the solar power and not worrying about keeping the watch on the watch winder. This watch keeps great time and looks great. It still has the screw down crown that most Seiko watch’s no longer have.

It's a great looking watch, heavy and large. I have been looking for a watch like this for awhile and came across this Seiko. So far very pleased, it was running right out of the box. Looks great on my wrist. Shipping and communication was great.

Perfect at first, good fit, nice look, right weight and size ... unfortunately had to return it because the screw down crown kept becoming undone ! I don't know how or why, but I didn't even wear the watch to bed ... it would be on the nightstand and I would find it unscrewed the next day.

This is a nice watch. I'm coming up on one year of ownership and daily use. I prefer the allure of automatic movements, but this solar quartz makes for a trouble free daily wear piece. You can't beat quartz for accuracy. The downfalls of this watch are pretty much the same as most Seiko watches under $1000. The bracelet is on the cheaper side and isn't tapered. I dislike the Cyclops and Hardlex crystal. The aluminium bezel insert should be a thing of the past by now. Fortunately, the drilled lugs make swapping out the bracelet for a NATO strap a breeze and vice versa. I have purchased four straps so I can change the look of the watch each day of the week if I choose. I will be swapping out the Hardlex crystal for a domed sapphire crystal shortly and hope to find a ceramic bezel insert to fit. Don't get me wrong, this is a great watch, I am just picky about details. Seiko could give more at this price point.

Great watch that arrived on time. If you love the submariner look, but don’t want to spend 8k plus, then this is your watch. It’s a great look casual and dressy, has the cyclops at the 3 o’clock date, rotating bezel, etc. Great purchase.

I purchased this watch on May 21, delivered on May 26. Really liked it and was initially very happy with the purchase. Unfortunately, today, July 16 the stem pulled out and the watch has stopped working. According to Amazon, the return/replacement window is closed. What I had hoped would be a watch that lasted many years is now worthless and I have no recourse to have it replaced. For an item like this to only have a 30 day window for replacement is ridiculous. Very disappointed with Amazon. I can only hope the seller sees this review and makes this situation right.

Love waking up each morning knowing that my Seiko Solar will always be running. No need for a 30 shake, or an "omg, dead battery" moment. Put it on and wear it.

classic watch

Orologio davvero splendido e dalle giuste dimensioni. Le rifiniture sono impeccabili, l'estetica davvero meravigliosa. Forse è un po'costoso, ma si tratta di un Seiko. L'unico appunto che potrei fare riguarda la lente magnificatrice della data, che in realtà ne ostacola la lettura.

I considered the purchase of this watch for a long time and looked at several alternatives. I had previously owned SEIKO divers watch as a Royal Marines Commando so I can testify to there rugged durability. That watch lasted eight years of Marine service and another 11 years of chaotic civilian life before it gave up the ghost. I did consider the Rolex divers watch that is a superb piece of engineering and looks beautiful, but it is not always wise to carry thousands of dollars on your wrist. If I had to give this watch up at £250, I would buy another without hesitation.I wanted a classic rugged good looking (just like me) watch that will work whatever (just like me) and first impressions are good. It started working immediately and setting the time and date easy as pie. It has a good weight and sits proudly on the wrist; I took it to a local jeweler that fixed the bracelet for a good fit. I know there are lots of videos on YouTube on how to do this but for five minutes and work and as many pounds sterling its fixed by an expert, happy.It is a big watch but not overly so, black and white classic looks I am very happy with it. This is my first solar powered watch so will be interested to see how it keeps time I hope to re-visit this review maybe next year for an update. So far I am very happy with this purchase and would highly recommend this watch.
