Q: Is this made in the usa?

Nope...It's made in China...But it's comfy!

Q: Would this be good for kids who sit on the floor to read? ages 7 and 8?

It is very soft so it probably would not make a good floor cushion, but would be great for snuggling with while reading.

Q: are pillow pets a good option for a 4 and 2 year old to use as a pillow in their bed? are they large enough?

The manufacturer recommends children 3 years and older for use of the pillow pets. The pillow opens large enough for a child to sleep on but it is the decision of the parent to allow their children to sleep on the pillow.
