leukemia sucks, this toy doesn't
I have a loved one with leukemia -- a cancer of the white blood cells. I got this for him and told him it's a *healthy* leukocyte instead of one of the bad ones. It is hanging in his hospital room, where he can enjoy it, and the docs and nurses love it too. It's soft and cute, about 6 inches high, and has googly eyes. Definitely a must-have ally in the fight against cancer. It also comes with an amusing and informative tag that explains the role leukocytes play -- the are the "white knights" on the bloody field of battle against infection. This is a great gift for a cancer patient, doctor or nurse, or kid with an interest in medicine.(I just wish it had a little loop or hook on the head for hanging...he doesn't stand up very well.)

Adorable!
This little guy is adorable! I also got one of the hay fever that my boyfriend got me since I’m into human biology and all that but I got the white blood cell one to go with my Red Blood Cell cosplay from Cells at Work for comic con, he’ll be sitting on my prop:)

Perfectly hilarious
Bought this and the red blood cell for a friend who’s in the hospital receiving a bone marrow transplant and they both were a hit with not only my friend but the hospital staff too. Such a clever silly little thing that brings joy!

Luke the Leukocyte
My son (who was born in 2003) has a bunch of giant microbes now. We have the flu, typhoid, polio, fat cells, bed bugs, a red blood cell and a white blood cell. These are fabulous, well constructed educational stuffies. They come with detailed explanations and fantastic pictures of the actual microbes. We've combined these with the Grossology book for a fun, silly educational experience. We have a lot of fun with flue in particular pretending to sneeze and throwing it at each other. The red blood cell is particularly aerodynamic and helps my son understand how blood works and, combined with the lumpy little white blood cell, explain how his blood tries to keep him healthy. Our Leukocyte, now named Luke, came with rubbed spots on his eyes. A little disapointed, but still love it.

cutest blood cell you'll ever see
Gave this as a gift to a friend who was turning 18 (I made a box of things you can do, and giving blood/plasma was one of them. He was squeamish of blood so this was a good alternative)its super cute and cuddly. You wouldn't think that a giant white blood cell would be so adorable, but it is. 10/10 recommend. I want 50 more.
