will the performance be affected if I cut off a few inches off this 25-inch strap? car only has low 6" ground clearance.

I have ground bar in my engine compartment it wouldn't drag on the ground but would that matter?

What is the difference between a rubber static strap and rubber tires? Where is the connection interrupted to the frame of the car?
