Earthworm Jim: The Complete Series

Price was great, and shipping time was really fast. I haven’t finished the whole two seasons yet, but we found only maybe one small half second audio glitch and that’s been it so far, and I’ve watched most of it. I didn’t watch it as a kid, but we discovered it on a random streaming service years ago, and we’re very devastated when it was taken down. Needless to say that my boyfriend and I were really excited to find this on Amazon for the price that it is. This show is amazing and hilarious. The humor is truly a rich tapestry of stupidity, hilarity, and random chaos. I feel like people of all ages would still get a huge kick out of this show.

Awesome series of my childhood classic cartoon! Bought for my son who loves it just as much as I do!

Even though I was born in the 80s and seen many cartoons through out my years, I never knew about nor saw the Earthworm Jim show. Being a major fan of Earthworm Jim, I had to know if there was a cartoon or movie, and look, there it is on Amazon. The price was decent and being age 39, I surely can appreciate the classic Earthworm jim cartoon, on how it was shown. I only watched the first disc and enjoyed it so far...so technically, I am happy with my purchase.

To have the whole cartoon collection and one DVD set.It means the world to me. Good quality picture, good price.

I was a bit young when Earthworm Jim was actually airing on Kids' WB, but I do certainly remember the toyline and the general popularity of the franchise. In watching most of these episodes for the first time, I have been relatively impressed at how legitimately funny they are. EWJ is a lot like The Tick or Animaniacs, in that the humor is appropriate for kids but contains a lot of pop-culture references that only teens and adults would really appreciate. Simply put, there's enough dry humor and sarcasm to make the episodes worth watching today, regardless of nostalgia. Also, the voice acting is top-notch, especially Dan Castellaneta as Jim.On the downside, the video/audio quality is mediocre (as some reviewers have noted), but clearly these were not taped off the air or anything like that. Additionally, there are no special features, which is even weirder considering that the VHS tapes had behind-the-scenes clips regarding the making of the show. On a final note, some of the episode titles in the menu are incorrectly flipped.Also, I would like to add that I truly believe this set is NOT a bootleg--it is simply a lower-quality third-party distribution of a show that otherwise would never have made it onto DVD. As fans of EWJ may know, the rights to the character are a mess, so we're lucky that this set even exists.

This is one of the most forgotten and underrated cartoons from the '90s.The show is incredibly funny and incredibly smart.How many other children's cartoons of the time make reference to Tarantino's Pulp Fiction, Seinfeld, or Ingmar Bergman's The Seventh Seal??Smartly written and hilarious in all of its self-depricating, self-referential humor.It even works jokes in the second season that the show is running out of money and they couldn't afford to use color in certain sections.Very funnily intergraded but also very sad, as it shows the writers knew the show was doomed.But they made the absolute best of it!And now we can enjoy this amazing show whenever we please.It's just a shame it only lasted 2 seasons.I wish there were more.Episodes look crisp with great audio and video!Also features the amazing voice talent of the legendary Dan Castellaneta!ONE problem I had, the second episode on the first disc has terrible audio.Big sections drop out to where there is no sound at all.I don't know if this is a ubiquitous problem, or if I recieved a defective disc.Other than that, I'm so happy with this set.And it's only $10!High recommend!

I never thought I'd see this come into reality. Earthworm Jim was an animated series that ran for two seasons from 1995-1996 on Kid's WB TV. It's based on the surreal humor video game for Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis. The cartoon was unlike any other animated show. The show constantly breaks the fourth wall, which they do it in a way that is original.Every episode leaves you laughing every second. There is not a dull moment in this series and that is something that most cartoons these days are lacking.If you think that an extraterrestrial super suit that fell from space and landed on an earthworm then granted him super powers is funny and freaking awesome, then prepare to place an order.Finally, the complete series of Earthworm Jim is here on dvd.
