Missing pieces
I purchased these finger cots to apply an ointment on my dog. I received them today so I have not used them yet but they have a nice thickness, not flimsy at all. The description on Amazon says 202 pcs per package but the one I received has a label on the package that says 200 pcs. I counted them and there was only 175 pcs in the package.

The life of a chef is "demise" by a thousand cuts
I'm NOT a chef, so maybe it'll be more like a few dozen cuts, but they still happen from time to time. Before if I cut myself I had to find some convoluted way to keep my finger off of whatever I'm prepping, because otherwise I contaminate the food AND infect myself at the same time and really, who besides Dr. Lecter wants human blood in their food? These little things, which we affectionately call "finger condoms," are one of those small conveniences that you're grateful to have around. If I suffer some kind of small injury I just clean off the wound, wrap one of these mini prophylactics around the affected finger, and continue working. Just unwrap when you're done (remember, DON'T reuse!) and discard.Point is, grab a bag, throw it in your junk drawer, and just remember, you might not need them every day, but when you do, better to have them on hand rather than having to make a frantic trip to the drugstore.

Would absolutely buy again
I bought these a bit over year ago for those moments when I might have a cut on a finger and don't want to get the bandaid wet while cooking/cleaning at home. Nothing is worse than either trying avoid getting a finger bandaid wet while cooking/cleaning, or getting it wet and constantly having to reapply a new one. I was hoping that these cots would never really be necessary, but oh my gosh have they been life-savers. Not only have I used them more than I had thought (currently wearing one while I type), but they do a much better job than I would've expected. They have been super helpful for times when I have an existing cut from work or something and need to protect it, but they've also saved the day in the midst of accidents in the kitchen. I have been able to wrap a cut tight with a bandaid, throw one of these cots on, and continue cooking without a hitch. I have average size hands for a man, and when applied properly, are able to cover my entire middle finger to the top. And they actually help numb painful spots so I won't enough notice the cut while continuing to cook. Yes, I practice proper knife skills, but I am still new and accidents are always going to happen, since I'm no pro. On one particularly bad accident, I was doing an herb chiffonade slice and I accidentally tool OFF half of the fingernail on the middle finger all the way down to the cutting board, in the MIDDLE of finishing a hot dish still on the stove. With the help of a tightly-wrapped bandaid, one of these cots was able to hold in blood while it soaked through the bandaid and pooled at my fingertip, without allowing any to flow backwards. Gross, yes, but nice to know that they're effective. They seem pretty durable as well. I have been able to wear one for hours while cooking and working and washing my hands many times, and they don't easily tear nor let water in.I think I've only managed to use 50 or so of them, and I hope to become less klutzy over time and hope to need them less and less, but if I ever find myself running low on them, I will snatch up some more in a heartbeat, especially at 3¢-4¢ a piece.

These finger cots are a good buy. My cat has hyperthyroidism and I have to apply medication on the inside of his ear flap twice a day. The medication is absorbed by the skin so I definitely don't want it on my skin. I have normal sized hands and fingers for a woman and these finger cots fit pretty good (not skin tight but it doesn't really matter in my case). I think it's a good deal for the price.

The first Cots I've used are just right!
These are the first finger cots I've ever used, and I have no need to look further.I use them to put appetite and thyroid medicines on the inside of my cat's ears. The variable is whether the selected size fits the finger tip well. If it were loose, it would be difficult to spread the medicines evenly over the inside of the cat's ear.My impression is that my fingers are small for a man but are generally larger than most women's. For me the "medium" size fits well.
