BaBylissPRO Nano Titanium Flat Iron Hair Straightener , 2" Ultra- Thin Hair Straightener Iron for Professional Salon Results and All Hair Types

For reference - I have long, fine and generally straight hair naturally but I get a lot of frizz around my crown and the top layer of my hair so I like to use an iron to smooth out that section or add volume at my roots. I also sometimes use it to create beach-y waves all over. Even though my high-end salon straightener/flat iron said it was dual voltage, I didn't want to take any chances while traveling for 8 days across Peru. So instead I decided to purchase and take the Babyliss Pro Nano Titanium Mini with the 1-inch plates. I'll admit that when it arrived and I saw how small and light it was I was skeptical, but it worked perfectly both at home in the US and in multiple hotel rooms in Peru. In fact, it is so light and convenient that I have reached for this instead of my pro one a few times since getting back from my trip. I've seen a few reviews here where people complained that it got too hot to hold while styling but I am guessing those folks did not see the two rubber buttons/grips on each side of the iron that are there to protect your fingers. I haven't been burned once using them! My only complaint - and it is a small one - is that if I rush and grab too much hair, it doesn't glide smoothly and my hair gets snagged in the plates. But that is user error, not the iron's fault. If I take the time to just grab the right amount of hair, it works perfectly. I am quite happy with the performance and size is super convenient for travel. I think this would also make a great first iron for someone (just be mindful there is only one heat setting and no auto shut-off).

I travel quite often and have been looking for a flat iron that would be portable with variable voltage and at the same time has the ability to work well on my hair. I think I've found it in the Baby Bliss Pro Nano. I have thick, wavy and long (mid-back) hair which this iron is able to straighten. It's light and small making it much easier to pack.It's impossible for anyone to expect something so compact to be comparable in performance to a full size flat iron. Admittedly it has a few drawbacks such as the inability to choose your temperature (people with fine hair may be more sensitive to the heat output) and the smaller plate (length) thus needing to iron smaller/thinner strips of hair which leads you to taking a bit longer to get ready. However, if you are like me, I don't mind either of those things compared to what I am getting. Some people complained it got too hot for them to even hold the iron but I haven't ran into this issue. Also, you may want to note this iron isn't for your everyday use; that's what full size irons are for. This iron is good for travel and works just fine. I'm very happy with my purchase.

They arrived on time, in their sealed box, all new items, just as described. 😊Great value for the set, contains blow dryer, curling iron, and flat iron. Love the thin profile of the flat iron, the plates align well, and it can be used to create waves and to straigthten. Curling iron heated quickly, created very pretty curls. Blow dryer is as expected, tho the cool shot button’s location is where i normally place my thumb, so will take a minute to change my habits! 😁Recommend the set if you can use all 3 items ❤️Very nice products, satisfied with my purchase.

I Don’t normally write reviews but I’m doing it because it took me months to decide which brand I wanted to buy and I don’t regret it! They get super hot so be careful!! I started with a lower setting and it still was super hot. I have thick frizzy hair and the hairdryer took less than half the time my old one took and my hair looked shinier. The straightener works like a champ and I even used it to curl my hair. I always struggle with curls since they don’t hold, and with these products the curls hold until the next day! I woke up and still have beautiful subtle curls! These are easy to handle, they’re gorgeous, they’re not too heavy, and the results are amazing. Don’t underestimate the power of negative ions!!!

So, I'll start by saying that I do really like this straightener, but could only give it four stars because of a couple of things. First, the plates get REALLY hot, and the back side of the plates also gets really hot. This means that you cannot let it touch your scalp or skin at all or it will burn you, and I'm a little concerned about it touching general counter tops or other surfaces. The insert actually warns you not to let it touch any surface. Now, that's silly, how can you hold the product the whole time with one hand and style your hair? Sometimes you need to use both hands. It did fine for me on stone/tile tops, so I may have to travel with a little piece of tile, or try oven safe silicone. I'm not sure why it is necessary for the plates to get so hot. If you left it on your hair too long, your hair would literally burn off, so you do have to move it quickly over your tresses. Second, there's no way to adjust the temperature. I would appreciate having a dial to change the heat setting. I realize very curly or coarse hair might need it hot, but my hair is fine and pretty straight. At any rate, the straightener works great. The titanium plates do move quickly over your hair, which is a plus and necessary, and I love the very small size. I'd order this again, and would recommend to others noting the above warning about how hot it gets.
