The Stenciling on the Metal Is Why I Purchased This
You can buy cheaper, but the legibility of the stenciling was the difference. Would recommend.

Quality gage
Typical quality I've come to expect from Starrett. It's accurate, no burrs, feels pretty sturdy. Not much else to say. It's a flat piece of steel for measuring/setting angles.

Starrett has NEVER failed to produce a quality tool. 3 generations and I still have some of my grandfathers Starrett rules that I still use all the time.

Like it better than the cheapos
Fish tails are great for sharpening tooling. Even the cheap ones work. But what I love about this Gage is on the backside it has a thread cutting depth chart. great when I'm cutting threads on the lathe and don't have my handbook around.. Nice and thick, great Starrett finish.

Handy tool.
The shop where I worked had one. Retired so I had to get one for doing threading at home.

Quality Worth the Price
The quality is worth the price. I first ordered a cheap gage and found that it would not work because the apex of the angle cuts did not have any clearance at the points.
