My kid likes it so its a WIN!
My son is 10 years old and plays Diablo Immortal with me. He doesn't really like reading at all. He's enjoyed this and said his favorite was about the story with Tal Rasha and Baal battling. THAT IS A WIN if he's reading. The short-stories are good b/c its not too long and he doesn't lose his place if reading it for weeks.

Great for any Diablo fan
Great stories to match a great game. Picked this up since playing a lot of D2:R and D4. Great stories and truly one for the reader/gamer that loves the Diablo lore!

Literary and melancholic
Starting with the negatives: A Whiff of Salt, it's a great name for a story, but not a good story. On the plus side, the other stories are nice, so long as you don't mind melancholy stories of despair. Only two of the stories struck me as having anything like a hopeful message. Though if you're walking into a horror anthology looking for a barrel of laughs you've already gone wrong. Speaking of which, there's a definite theme throughout the book of sobriety (of mood, not characters). The closest you get to anything like a joke is a moment near the end of one of the two 'hopeful' stories where things take a somewhat unexpected turn. There's plenty of descriptions of violence and viscera, much more than I expected but definitely in keeping with the games. Not a lot of high flying action though. The writers have definitely opted for the traditional attitude you see in a lot of anthologies: The shorter the story, the slower the pace. But, you'll note, I'm still listing this as a positive because I think it makes the stories feel like they have more weight. Like I'm really reading histories and folktales from the world of Sanctuary. Not to mention that a few of these are real gems for lore enthusiasts. Well worth getting if you like Diablo for the story at all.

the best Diablo book I've read
I've read Book of Tyrael/Lorath/Adria and I prefer this style of book over all three of those. The individual stories are fantastic and varied with incredible imagery and a clear direction that supplements the game (Diablo 4) perfectly. Reading this book before playing the game was a fantastic experience filled with lots of moments of excitement and wonder as I connected the environment and characters. I will definitely go back and read this one again, and I hope to see more books like this set in the Diablo universe. The anothology style definitely works well. Favorite story was "The Caravan" but that might just be my necromancer bias.

Simplesmente uma obra de arte
E um ótimo livro, para quem quer se aprofundar na história, do universo de diablo.Material de ótima qualidade, o único defeito é não está disponível em outros idiomas dificultando o acesso dele a maioria das pessoas.
