Dim Sum, Please!: A Bilingual English & Cantonese Children's Book

I’ve bought and gifted this book to 4 different people over the last year. They have all loved it and it got their kids interested in trying dim sum!

My girls love this book, and it’s encouraged them to want dim sum. I tell them that they need to refer to the book to tell me what they want to order, and they love it. Pictures are super cute and help them visually

It's a cute book to introduce kids to dimsum in Cantonese with jyutping.I bought a few years ago as a gift for a friend. Now I bought it again, but time I noticed a page has Mandarin-Chinese pinyin. That should be noticed during proofreading before going to print...Overalll it's a cute and creative way to introduce Cantonese sentences, Cantonese Jyutping and Cantonese dishes to kids.

My husband and I wanted to get our 18-month daughter Kathy exposed to the sounds of her native language. Both my husband and I are ABCs so it's tough having our grandparents and family around who are native speakers (due to 2021 restrictions). Anyone that knows practice is the best way to learn a second language which is why we're so thankful for this AMAZING book as it teaches our daughter both English and Cantonese.The author does an excellent job with the following:✔️JYUTPING providing a detailed pronunciation guide✔️The illustrations are beautiful, definitely kept our daughter fully engaged - she loved the Dim Sum drawings!✔️The mixture of English and Cantonese means our daughter is learning not 1 but 2 languages at the same time.✔️There is even a JYUTPING tone guide included so I'd actually even recommend this to non-native speakers as it makes it super easy to comprehend.Having bought a few other disappointing Children's Chinese / Cantonese books in the past, I can say this one is easily at the top of our list. It's pretty amazing to see her learn and progress so quickly.Overall, this book is truly incredible and we could not be more impressed. I'll be purchasing more to gift to family and friends with young ones looking to learn and enjoy!
