The instructions stated to use the short side of the supplied nipple to thread in your standard FIP connector. I used a 1/2" drop ear connector to secure the plumbing to a stud. Neither side of the supplied nipple would thread into the FIP fitting. It would go about 1/2 turn and lock up. I'm sure I could have forced the threads to go but it was very apparent it was not the same. A standard tapered nipple would easily thread into the drop ear but not into the faucet threads at all. Both sides of the supplied connector would easily thread into the faucet though. After spending some time at the hardware store with the professionals we found a standard gray PVC nipple worked perfectly. It easily thread into the drop ear and the faucet threads.It is a great quality faucet and hope my learning might help others. I'm not too concerned on using PVC as the majority of the weight is supported..

Very nice quality for the price. It is not a "cheap" flimsy unit. It is built very well. The double shut off is very nice to ensure there are no accidents.The only slight issue I had that you may experience, if your plumbing is recessed in the wall further than the pipe nipple which is supplied with the unit will allow, you will have a issue. A standard pipe nipple will not fit through the faucet mount without first drilling out the bracket (you can do this pretty easily with a step bit from home depot etc... and a drill) as this is not part of the "water tight" seal and only there to keep the faucet tight on the wall. (Remember to remove the set screw prior to drilling it out)

The product arrived on time and as described, the company contacted me through Amazon to make sure that it arrived and that it could be late on delivery. A good after sales follow up to make sure that everything was correct and on time. The fixture arrived well packaged and enclosed in nice drawstring bag to protect from scratches and dings. My update is to add a few photos of the product. The black object in photo next to blue "wrench" is the weight to keep sprayer tucked in. After looking it over a few times I may buy another one to replace the one in my RV. It's about over due for one.

Update: repurchased this item as I liked the aesthetics of it. Company issued a refund for the faucet but did so on the new purchase instead of the original one. This new one leaks too and I’m attempting to return it but can’t get my money back. I stand by the “warning”…buyer beware.Original: 7 attempted installs with a contractor and a plumber using various tapes and dopes and it still leaks. Buyer beware.

Beautiful understated faucet, looks expensive and easy to install. Working great so far, highly recommend and you cannot beat the price!

This pot filler is very well built and has a nice look but there were a few issues with the description and installation. The instructions and the Amazon pictures state that the faucet will fit into a female NPT fitting but it’s designed with FIP threads on the inlet of the faucet and comes with a MIP nipple. This makes it tricky to install. I used a SharkBite supply line with a 1/2” FIP fitting on the end which is standard for a kitchen or bathroom faucet. The only problem with this arrangement is that the wall has to be open to hold onto the end of the supply line to tighten it. The second issue was after I had it installed it had a slight drip, about one drip per minute. I used Teflon tape as the instructions stated and the faucet came with a small roll. Teflon tape doesn’t work well on straight threads but it would on tapered threads. I also used quite a bit of thread sealant but it still leaked. I tried a washer on the inside where the end of the nipple went inside the faucet but it was crushed and blocked the water from going through. It didn’t leak though. After removing the crushed washer I used a #10 O-ring on the outside of the nipple as well as Teflon and sealant. This finally worked.I would say that if they redesigned the unit with NPT threads and an NPT nipple it would work better or make it like a regular faucet and have the nipple be attached to the unit so it wouldn’t leak from the inside. This would make installing it to the wall trickier because of varying tile thicknesses and wall construction. They could also add a washer on the inside to make a seal between the nipple and the pot filler.

The media could not be loaded.  The stainless steel with matte black drew me to this faucet from all of the others. Easy install, controlled sprayer, it’s a must have!

Purchased in may this year. Has developed a leak a couple of weeks ago. Water dripping under sink. Have to keep a bowl under it to catch the water.
