is there a speaker that you can lnsert a usb and mains electric

I don’t really understand the question. But this speaker is powered through the usb. There is no mains electric cable. Hope this helps.

For computers, is the sound via the usb port better than via the "usual" 3.5mm line (as in the pebble and pebble v2)?

Some articles I have read state USB is better quality - however I am guessing that on a PC where you may have an audio card that drives the AUX (3.5mm line) you wont be able alter things like bass / treble - or at least I cannot using USB on my PC.

my monitor has an Audio line-out port could i connect these with an AUX cable to ouput the sound from my speakerless monitor to these pebble speakers?

I do not know for sure as I use the line out from from desktop, but as y desktop normally outputs to my monitors speakers, then provided the monitors Aux Out is for audio, the monitor ought to output to the external speakers.
