Lysander's Original Chili Seasoning, 2.7-Ounce (Pack of 6)

Chili is a healthy, no brainer meal that we eat often in our home. I've used Lysander's Original using ground beef, turkey and chicken, a variety of beans, and other additions - corn for a southwestern chili, or diced green chilies. We've loved every chili version we've come up with! If you like chili, drop the chemical laden seasoning packs and try Lysander's. You won't be disappointed and neither will the mouths you're feeding!

I bought this product because it did not contain msg. It has a nice smokey flavor, but the salt in it is too over-powering! I even tried using all additional ingredients using salt-free diced tomatoes and salt-free chili beans, but it was still too salty.

WAY TOO SALTY!! My husband and I could not eat it until I cooked a few slices of potato in it to take out some of the salt.

My store stopped carrying this so if it is sold out it is my fault! I would like to see a lower sodium version. If you need to limit sodium this may not be your first choice. That is the only reason I could think of that you should not try this.

This is a great and easy receipe. My whole family loves it and doesn't use any other kind now. I do add a few extra ingrediants than suggested. I put a jar of my home made salsa in. I add any kind of beans I have available. The more the better.

If you want to pay a premium price for SALT buy this product. Used to be the best but now if you will notethe first ingredient listed on the package is SALT and way too much of it for a pound of meat and can oftomatoes as the recipe calls for. Will never buy it again. My homemade chili is far, far better. Keep it.

This is the best chili mix we have ever used. It was available in a store here and I purchased it to try. It was much better than the others and well worth the bother of ordering online. It is no longer carried in any store that I could find in western New York.
