Does the job for small potted climbing plants
I have a 4” potted philodendron Micans plant that isn’t ready to repot in a pot size bigger. What I did like is that I was easily able to just stick it in the 4” pot of my planter without damaging the roots but it does stick out above the soil line a bit but still serves its purpose. Next time I’d prefer to place it in a bigger pot (5” +) when I repot my plant so it’s fully in deep in the pot. I do like that it’s stackable to make it taller but I haven’t tried that yet since my plant is still small The cylinder size is small and you should use a chopstick or poker to get the spagnum moss inside the tube. The ties that came with it were helpful and my Micans vines are already starting to grow areal roots into the spagnum moss. It’s a bit hard watering it though. Since the cylinder tube is so small, it’s hard to get a glass watering tube in it to water it so I just take it to my sink and use my water hose attachment to soak it when time for watering and spray it with a water bottle in between waterings. I doubt I’ll buy these little sized ones again because I don’t need too many small ones and they are a bit too small.

These are great!
I love these, honestly! And I will definitely be buying more. Some people are complaining about how they couldn’t use them in smaller pots because the stakes were too long — you could just use the moss pole without the stakes and bury it in the pot… or at least that’s what I did with a couple of mine and my plants are happy! Also some people complained that the poles are skinny… the description literally tells you the diameter so there shouldn’t have been a surprise but oh well.Anyways, they are wonderful in my opinion and I love that I can stuff them with quality moss and what not to keep plants happy! Thanks!

Moss Pole
I finally got around to using my poles today after ordering a month or so ago. The most frustrating thing is 2 of the end caps we’re on the same cage, rendering 2 of the poles useless unless my husband can figure out a way to get one off. I like that I can put my own good quality moss in the cage. I wish it wasn’t so glaringly white, but I think it will work for for a couple of my plants. I wanted to use mine in 3 1/2” Hoya pots, but you need the depth of a 6” pot to sink the stakes properly, that was my bad and I want others to be aware. They are very skinny poles, which is why I thought they would work for smaller pots. I would have given more stars if it wasn’t for the one end cap issue.

They’re very thin
Placed next to traditional moss pole to show size difference. They’re about one inch in diameter. I like that I can fill them with moss- just thought it would be a little bigger

Plants NJ
These are tiny and great for teaching a plant to climb. It’s tough packing the moss inside but East to water the moss.

Great, but Be Sure to Measure Carefully
These are clever, useful support poles. I filled mine with sphagnum moss and only used one stick for a small (6-7 inches) plant.Pros:* Nice, neutral color* Easy to fill and clean* Can be filled with a variety of materials (mosses, small gravel, etc.)* Reusable* StackableCons:* Stakes need to be securely seated in soil. Check measurements and be sure your soil is at least 5 inches deep. Also, these work best in solid potting soil: sandy or quick-draining mixes don't provide the same support.

Holes aren’t big enough
I don’t like how small the holes are in the plastic. Makes it hard for the roots to reach the moss. Also really hard to stuff the moss in the pole. The stake is nice and sturdy, but impossible to shorten for a less deep pot. Very good for the money though.

This does not stay stable for chunky aroid mix
It keeps on tilting and not staying straight up. Also, moss dries really quick because the pole is pretty thin.
