I bought my Husband a popcorn machine. Ever since then this has been his go to for making pop corn. It pops evenly not a lot of oil feeling or taste. It smells amazing.

Absolutely love this popcorn. I have a popcorn machine I make these in and it's so easy to use with the way these are packaged. The taste is exactly like a movie theater with the perfect saltiness and one package makes SO MUCH it could feed a family. 10/10!

A good product, but too many unpopped kernels! Way too many. That is the reason for the four-star rating, although the popcorn is delicious. I think I will go back to the Paramount brand of packets containing the popcorn, oil and salt.GREAT NORTHERN is a delicious popcorn product for those of us fortunate enough to have one of those old-fashioned popcorn popping machines. For those who LOVE popcorn, I would very strongly recommend getting one of these machines if you don't already have one. You will throw away your microwave popcorn and never buy another bag because it will taste like styrofoam compared to what you get with a proper machine, believe me. I refer to microwave popcorn as POOPCORN now! I must have my popcorn and this is exactly like the kind of movie theatre popcorn we used to get before the movie theatre concessions bought their popcorn in large plastic bags and then offered "butter-tasting" oil to drench their tasteless, overpriced popcorn in. Too lazy to make it real, too cheap to offer a good product that takes more trouble to make.I bought a Paramount popcorn machine a couple of years ago and it was one of the best purchases of my life! The ONLY way I've made popcorn that really hit all of my popcorn tastebuds and exploded them with joy! I have used the Paramount popcorn for the past couple of years and since I saw that Great Northern Popcorn packets were the most popular packets at Amazon, I thought I'd try them. Well, I've tried them. The flavor is slightly different, maybe a little more buttery than the Paramount brand, but one of the reasons I decided to try Great Northern was because of the unpopped kernels I got with the Paramount popcorn. Turns out this was not a good decision because I've found consistently that I get a lot more unpopped kernels with Great Northern than I ever got with Paramount -- go figure. Maybe I'm doing something wrong but that is my experience.As I said, the flavor is excellent with Great Northern as it is with Paramount, just slightly different. And for all those who write that the popcorn for both brands is too salty, all I can say is I am amazed at the complaint. The solution is incredibly simple: DON'T ADD ALL THE SALT IN THE SALT PACKET! It's unworthy of a complaint. It's so simple to add less salt if you want less salty popcorn, yes?! -- and you can tailor the flavor to your own preference.Although the Great Northern is definitely delicious popcorn, I will probably go back to the Paramount brand because of the excessive number of unpopped kernels.

Best popcorn ever! Tastes just like the popcorn you get at the movies. Perfectly salty with delicious butter flavor. Easy to make. Great value for the money. Will never go back to microwave popcorn again.

This is exactly what you get at the theaters, minus the drizzle of butter if you are that person. People complaining it is stale and chewy haven't popped popcorn in mass quantity like this before. You have to leave the lid ajar on the pot or the steam /condensation drips down in the popcorn and makes it soggy and chewy. This makes A LOT of popcorn so be aware of that when you choose your pot, along the lines of 2 large buckets at the theater. Great taste. Have been buying this brand/set up for many years and have never had an issue. We even use it for parties as a snack for people other than nuts and they love it. In summer, the butter/oil will be melted or liquid and in winter, the butter/oil will be hardened. It doesn't affect the flavor either way. The people giving it 1 star for packages being opened along the shipping route is ridiculous. Stuff happens. That is a rating you give the seller on their shipping page, not on here for quality of product. This is a value at less than $2 per bag, especially for families who are like us and really only go to the movies anymore for the popcorn.

This popcorn is great! Whether you use it in a popcorn machine or make it on the stovetop it comes out light, fluffy and tasting like you are at the movie theater. Would definitely buy again!

My wife LOVES popcorn and she has no complaints on this one lol
