My last Weber stainless grill rusted in months in the FL humidity, so when I bought a new one, I started looking for something to protect it. I found this product online and it seemed to fit the bill. I've never used this product before.Preparation: I removed all the plastic from the grill and used the cleaner (per the directions). I only found one video online showing how to apply this coating. I put the Protectaclear in a glass dish.Application: I recommend applying the Protectaclear using thin coats, otherwise it will drip and run. It self levels, so the streaks will level out. The coating was virtually invisible after drying. After the first coat, I placed the applicator sponge in some aluminum foil to prevent it from drying.2nd Application: Again: apply with a thin coat to eliminate drips/runs. I noticed most of the ripples and steaks level out, but not as well as the first coat. After the 2nd application, it becomes more apparent that there's a coating on the metal. However I don't mind it if it means the grill is protected.I've used the grill a few times and the coating has held up well. I did notice that the coating scratches rather easily. It's mostly repairable with another light coat over the area. The only bad part (from what I read online) is the Protectaclear doesn't last long in the container after it's been opened.I can't comment on the longevity of the coating itself, but so far I'm happy.

A remarkable, easy to apply coating for outdoor stainless sink!! It was new, showing tiny signs of rust on the "bent" parts of sink- i was determined to keep it and give it a long life. After research, I found Everbrite- going to use it on so many outdoor things now!! We live near the ocean, so salt in the air.

Covers and looks great. I used it on brass that I had polished, completely removing the old finish and I am pleased with the results.

The media could not be loaded. 1) Blotchy finish.2) Finish wears down fast (~2 weeks).3) Applicator shed lint into product during application.4) Don’t trust/buy this product.*I applied 3 coats, per the application instructions. Sink is completely dry in the video/photo, which were taken after 2 weeks.

I didn't use the EZ Prep, but I did follow the instructions for new stainless steel. The denatured alcohol did leave some streaks, so I was anxious about them, but the coating refreshed the stainless to a solid color. The coating is pretty forgiving, but it can run so touch up before it starts to cure or you'll have a tiny mess. The working time is fair. I was nervous trying it on the grill, but see how it goes. I'll report back if there are issues with heating. Because of the odor, you definitely want to use this outside. I purchased the 16 oz kit and it covered a 42 inch fire pit, grill, fire pit lid, and one stainless outdoor kitchen door. I'd say that I have half of a can left. Get a good brush and you'll be fine.

I tried this product on my vinyl garage door. As I applied it the paint started to come off of the door. It probably works better on metal surfaces.

Easy to use, make sure to follow the directions. Make sure to wait until it is dry. Very strong odor so be aware.
