Very capable kitchen tool
Nothing like the old fashioned 3-tine Granny fork. It is another one of those useful little kitchen tools. My old one had seen its day and was replaced with this model. It is a little longer than the average dinner fork but shorter than the long carving forks. Just the right size for turning over meat or testing potatoes, stew, etc for tenderness. It is all metal and solid. The dishwasher will cause the aluminum handle to discolor but does not impact the functionality. It is another good value from this company. Enjoy!

Great handy fork
Love this fork and give as bridal shower gifts with the Rada knives. I've had mine 30 years and my mother had hers longer. They never wear out or get dull. I do not put it in the dishwasher. Hand wash, dry and put away. Use in pickle/beet jars; turn meat in fry pan; and hold fruit/vegetables/meat while slicing.

Save your silverware, use this fork
Most people just grab a fork out of the drawer. That's not a good thing. High heat can damage the surface of your silverware. The "Granny Fork" is perfect for use at the range. It's tines are sharper nd it's design and handle make it just right for cooking. I like it for frying, dropping and retrieving deep fried food in oil, for flipping foods, and testing doneness of everything from hamburgers to potatoes. I have two right next to the stovetop. This is my go-to small gift inclusion with shower and wedding gifts, along with the warningt to use it instead of your new stainless silverware.

Don't love the handle, love the fork
I'll start off by saying that, if this weren't made in the USA, I wouldn't cut so much slack for the handle. The handle sucks. It is really lightweight, looks pretty cheap, and the brushed aluminum texture just doesn't have a very good feel in your hand. I was convinced to like the fork, though, and am finding that, after getting used to the handle, it isn't so bad.The business end of the granny fork is great. The tines are sharp but not too sharp. The whole thing is nice and sturdy, despite the lightweight feel. Clean up is easy. It is a very versatile and functional addition to the kitchen.I am really pleased with the fork and even more so since it is made in the USA. I would, and do, recommend the brand to friends and family but I just can't give it five stars because the handle isn't a five star handle. The plastic handle might be better. We ordered several pieces in the aluminum, though, and I'm not going to send them all back on the chance that the plastic would feel better. If you're considering getting several utensils from this brand, I'd recommend starting with one to see if you are comfortable with the handles before making a big investment.

Great Product
It is a quality made product. You used to be able to find these in the utensil isle at the store, but no longer can find them in stores. Was happy to find one on line that I could order and for it to be so nice.

Like reconnection with an old friend
After 30+ years of dedicated service, the wooden handle on my granny fork finally gave up the ghost and couldn't find a proper replacement for turning bacon, slicing the small roast/chicken/meatloaf, checking for doneness, beating, mixing, tossing, tasting ....This one is the proper size, with the proper tine design (end tines flare out) and has the comfortable 'hand' of my old one with the added bonus of being truly dishwasher-safe. Since wooden utensils don't 'handle' dishwashers well, I tried to hand-wash my original - have to confess, it went into the dishwasher as often as not which is probably why it didn't last long enough. All things considered, should be good for the next 30 years!

Exactly what I wanted
When I was growing up in the 50's/60's, every cook had a granny fork. When my mom passed, somehow I didn't get The Fork. The tines on this baby are really sharp, so I wouldn't get near non-stick with it, but it's fine with cast iron. Love it for lightly beating eggs, testing taters for doneness and removing them from the pot, turning pork chops, all the stuff my granny and mom used it for. Really nice price for a nostalgic and versatile utensil! (I even eat with mine, but ya gotta watch those sharp tines. You could get hurt.)
