Takehito Harada Art Works Paperback – April 9, 2013

This Art Book from Takehito Harada is truly great: Colorful, impressive and even fun to watch.Included on each page, there is art from most popular games from NIS including Disgaea (from D1 to D4) but also including Phantom Brave, Makai Kingdom and some extras; for each artwork shown, there are thumbnails of the step by step process before reaching the full colored image, so you get to see the doodles, before actually seeing the finished picture. At the end of the artbook, you get to see some descriptions of the images you saw before.It would have been a lot better to have that description next to each artwork rather than at the end of the book, but i understand they wanted to get people to watch the artwork without any distractions.As for the quality, the book is well made, strong and resilient enough to avoid ripping pages by accident, colorful and feels great on the hand.Honestly this may interest any fan of the NIS games (or any Disgaea game) but hardly anyone else will consider buying this artbook.Quite satisfied.

If you are a fan of Disgaea's artwork, then you'll get a kick out of this. It focuses on main characters, official production art and occasional work done to help promote the game.You'll see some early sketches and a very quick and non-descript look at how the artist colored the images. Little blurbs at the back give a sentence or two about the artists thoughts on each piece of work or say what it was used for.Art also features some work for Makai Kingdom and Phantom Brave.If you are looking for art based on non-main characters, (like the generic units, cat-siths, monsters, villains, etc) you will not find that here.Still, I love it!

The book was expected to arrive mid June when, I ordered late May, So to my pleasant surprise it arrived much Earlier then I had expect. Since it was coming from Japan, Overall the quality of the book is great, It covers much more of the Art between the Series of Disgaea games then I expected, All the way up to the 4th game.I enjoyed the little break downs on how the artist drew each piece of art, and the process of which they colored it, This helped me as an artist to figure out how to replicate the art style.Overall If you like the Disgaea series, and Takehito's Artwork, This book is recommended for both Artist and Fan alike, as both will get something they'll appreciate from it.

Gotta say this is another amazing collections of pictures by one of my most favorite artis out there. Tekehito Harada.i remeber when i first got in to the disgaea univers, it was the look on etnas and laharl's face on the front cover that got me intereted in playing the game, since then i decided to play the games and beat them. now recently i bough this book and the other one -DISGAEArt!!! Disgaea Official Illustration Collection-. both book are amazing, however this one i enjoy the most since it brings you the steps he took to make the final piece for each illustration and a breif description.I would highly recomond this book to any artis and disgaea fans out there. is worth it!!!

got this after I got the DISGEArt ver... should've got this as it has abt half from that and half from his other works. theres stages of progress on some of his works, doesn't add much unless your pro (if it offers tips in mime). could be better used with expanded commentary instead of the brief at the back for each pic.definitely eye candy to be added to your collection if you like this series or the artist's works. if you've got only enough for one, get this instead!

I am an aspiring artist and Takehito Harada is one of my favorite artist. The book has many great reference images and covers most of the games he has been apart of. The quality is very good, great paper quality. I foresee myself using this book a lot.

I love Disgaea so i also love Tenpei Sato and Takehito Harada, the images are great and if you look at the images that show his drawing progress you can see the cute little demon boobies!

A lovely art book that organizes all Harada's illustrations from Nippon Ichi games neatly. Most art is available online though but it shows the processes of each illustration so it's still interesting.Can't wait for Takehito Harada Art Works II !

Este libri de arte del videojuego esta excelente. Si eres fan o simplemente llegaste a conocer esta saga de Disgaea, este libro de diseños tiene una muy buena presentacion. Como articulo de coleccion es muy bueno. Ademas de que es nuevo y tiene mucho que salio a la venta. No lo pienses y adquiere el tuyo. Satisfecho con la compra y el envio rapido.

El producto llego rápido y bien empaquetado cuenta con todo lo que dice la publicación y la calidad de las imágenes es excelente es una buena compra para esos amantes del disgaea

Concernant l'artbook, rien à dire. On peut profiter du style unique et reconnaissable de Mr. Harada, à travers les différentes licences de Nippon Ichi Software (notamment les fameux Disgaea).Je m'en suis également servi comme appui pour dessiner, la plupart des créations sont détaillées et permettent d'avoir les structures des dessins.J'ai retiré une étoile car j'ai reçu le livre avec quelques traces de griffures sur la couverture, incident sûrement lié à la manutention.
