It works very well.
I bought this for my leg cast (below knee to toes) after a fracture. The first time I used it, I was worried in case if it didn't work, so used masking tape at the opening edge to really really seal it. After a couple of days and getting used to it, I tried using it without the extra protective seal. It hasn't leaked and keeps my cast dry. It is worth the money. As one one of the reviewers shared, I too was not sure how my leg and cast would go through the opening-it seemed rather small and worried if I might tear it. No such issues. I would recommend it (but hope that you don't have to buy it, because it means you hurt yourself!).

but also worked great without one
I had to have 1 foot surgery and 2 ankle surgeries within 9 months. These were a God-send in being able to shower from day one. They not only fit over a surgical boot, but also worked great without one. I am fairly slim and athletic (5'3" and size 0-2 or S) and I had no problems with leakage around the seal. You just have to be sure it's faced properly and that it's in the crook of your knee. Out of 4 sleeves, I only had one with a tear in the seam. No biggie, because the others lasted and lasted through weeks of showers and multiple surgeries. Really good for how inexpensive it is. And it folds up very small, so it is easy to transport for travel.

Works Well.
I was really surprised how well this worked. I knew I'd have a lower leg/foot cast which had to stay dry. No showers. So I took a chance on this. I saw the small opening on the protector and thought there is no way my big cast is getting through there, but it did. Then the elastic tightens above the cast. Not too tight and you can't spray water at it directly. I had a shower wand and bathtub so I just kept that foot over the edge. Water all around it (I got the floor pretty wet ) but the cast stayed dry. I ended up buying more.

Junk - I wasted my $ on this?
I am pretty happy with most products, but this cast protector is a waste of time, money, and plastic. There is no way to seal the opening except possibly by stretching it tight around my calf. But in order to pull the cover up to above my cast-well, you can’t. It’s going to rip if I do. And this is not an unusually-wide cast. Instructions are much to brief-basically tells you to pull it on, no advice about what to do if it doesn’t clear the cast. Junk - I’m going to try to use a thick rubber band to seal it; hopefully that will work. Follow up - as expected, the only way to make this so-called sealable cast protector was to cut a larger opening, find a large rubber band, and use that band to hold the cover snugly around my leg. A garbage bag would work about as well and be a lot cheaper. Pretty sad

Amazing!!
Other products were painful & difficult to get on & off. This was is easy to put on & take off... no pain! It keeps all water out and doesn’t squeeze too hard on my skin. Highly recommend for a foot and/or leg covering.

Protects affected area well
It’s been a while since I purchased this product, but I am glad I did. I used it when I had to cover wounds on my feet to keep the bandages dry. Worked perfectly! I also used it afterwards on a few occasions for problems unrelated to the original problem. What a life saver. I highly recommend this product. The price is reasonable. Just be sure you follow the directions when you put them on so you don’t puncture or tear it. It does what it advertises.

Fine if your putting foot into water but to shower it leaked a lot
